PLEASE PRAY FOR THOSE OF US HERE IN CALIFORNIA.... WE ARE BURNING... THERE IS A HUGE BRUSH FIRE THAT IS ONLY A MILE FROM MY HOUSE. I HAVE NOT BEEN EVACUATED , BUT MY SIS , BRO IN LAW AND TWO YOUNG NEPHEWS AND DOG HAVE BEEN EVACUATED. IM SCARED RIGHT NOW.

Me and the dog are still here.... my town is burning

im not going into work... i dont even want to walk out my front door.. the air quality is horrible and i cant leave to go to work and then risk leaving my dog home alone......

i have been on the phone non stop with my honey and he has kept me calm.... God he is my rock

I am in San Diego county and basically the whole area by the 15 freeway is being evacuated. This is really bad this time. The Santa Ana winds are howling and the fires are 0% contained. I am up in North County coastal area and when I look southwest, the sky is a grey red color. Hopefully the firefighters can get this thing under control soon.

Yes its bad.. its only 10% contained here and we have choppers overhead non stop... im worried for my sisters house... she was closer to it then me..... this is horrible the whole southern cali is in a state of emergency... thank God it has stayed on the other side of town.. my thoughts and prayers go out to anyone who is in danger.... we have lost about 25 structures here in town alone... one house i drive by every day that sits on a hill was burnt to the ground.... someone's dream home...... gone =(

Buff... I just emailed you before I logged on here. I know you hate to leave you home and family, but play it safe and pack up your pups and go see you're man. There really isn't much you can do but pray and wait it out in a safe place.

Buff, Pack up your most precious of things and then you and your dogs need to go! These fires are out of control and very unpredictable right now. I am not a panic merchant by any means but this is serious and there is not much relief in sight for these incredible fire fighters. Nature is working against threm. And when mother nature speaks we should all listen. Just secure your house and let the authorites know you have self evacuated, then they won't be knocking on yoru door looking for you. This would be a very wise precaution!!

Gearhedz you need to impress upon Buff how serious this is. if it is that close these fires can tracel at amazing speed. This is how people get caught in them. At least Buff can prepare ahead and save valuable, irreplacable things.

Get out now while it is safe and let God Sort out the rest!

Thank you all for the replies...the fires are close but not that close.. i dont live far from the freeway if i need to get out.... we dont even have any smoke over by my house.. just a migraine from the bad air quality. im more concerned with my sisters house.. all the roads aroumd it are closed. thanks again for your concern and YES GH is gonna come rescue me if he has to... hes so good to me and has been worried silly...... i couldnt ask for a better man

On a happy note..... I at least have the roses and balloon he sent me at work this weekend to look at to make me smile...... thanks honey!!!!!!!!

Good advice Oldfella..... Buff listen to that. Your home is not worth your life. Be safe, don't get trapped unexpectedly. The news is saying there are more fires than the firefighters can possibly deal with because their equipment and manpower are maxed out. The satellite images are an eye-opener on how widespread these fires are.

for a voulutary or mandatory evacuation Get The F out please. Looking back 4 years ago when the shit hit the fan, I can tell you this blaze will be just as bad if not worse!! The sky has been smoke filled since very early this morning ON THE 1/2 block of the beach...

Most everyone East county will be at risk unless heavily insulated by neighbor hoods. My immediate family is just a mile from (so far)voluntary evac. calls but they are insulated by a good amount of houses.

To those who think they can stay and save your house...DON'T
Get your family, your pets, and all the shit you care about...Load as much of it as you can and head West...If you have horses in S.D. county, take them to Fiesta Island. People think they can save their house but don't know what it's like when the air is black, and you can't breath or see. When it comes down to that, you're not getting out.

I own a home in Rancho Bernardo and woke up at 4:30 am with flames burning 400 feet from my home----didn't have time to grab much, but at least I got out safe......not sure if I'll have a home to go back to, but at least I have a friends house to stay and surf the internet.......I've been thinking of moving out of Cali, and this may bump the priority a bit higher--- the humidity is at 2 % in some areas

Damn man, that's too close for comfort. I hope you can return to some good news but at least you are safe. This is some scary shit here!!! We are seeing the images on our news broadcasts and all I can say is Dante's Inferno!!! God help all of those in it's path!
