Can I use BW to dilute slin???

I'm a very experienced user with slin and have used it for years, I'm currently helping out a newbie with his slin journey and have got his b/g levels checked so I'm not worried about that. Is there anyway I can dilute the slin to so that I can draw a larger amount of volume to get a more accurate slin reading?? Was thinking bacterosatic water??? It would make it easier for him since I'm starting him off very slowly and constantly checking his blood glucose level to see how he reacts, thanks for you help.

there really is no need to, using a slin pin will give you an accurate reading and i cant see how diluting it with bac water will help get an even more accurate reading!

its more accurate to use it in a slin pin rather than dilute it and not be sure of what you have at the end

I agree with everyone else. Sounds Like a Bad idea.
Hell the Insuilin pins go as low as 1 Iu....How much less do you need?

Better yet, if he's not mixing slin with anything else, get the pen. Easy calibration, very small needles. With the pens you use 3ml cartridges.

Not a good idea. Like others have said, just use less insulin. Safer and you know what the concentration is.
