Fertility appointment, what can I admit to

Big, BIG mistake to admit steroid use to any doctor. I used to think like those who posted here and admitted my use when I got a lump in my stomach. I thought it was possibly from my gh injections, but ivd had lumps before and this seemed different. Anyways, I figured id admit it to the doctor so that it would be easier to diagnose. He told me flat out to not EVER admit to steroid use again as it can cause issues with my insurance carrier if something happened that became costly. I also spoke to a friend recently who said his doctor told him the same thing. I’m sure there are cool doctors who you can tell this to off the record but make sure you trust them and that it’s never put in your medical records.

If you tell him everything, be prepared to have that in his notes and to NEVER allow them to pull your personal records from that Dr ever.
I chatted it up with my former fertility doc and had to tell my life insurance that I 'made a mistake' and actually never saw him....the Dr's notes were full of our gear discussions and i basically told the life insurance places that I made a mistake and never saw the Doc. Unnecessary stress.

im not trying to solve this problem for you, but the collective BBing knowledge on get fertile again is BETTER and more advanced than whatever doc you are going to see. He basically told me clomid first, then HCG, then wait forever. And i was well aware that HCG+HMG and just beating that like a dead horse always works. I regret following his advice and coming off of test altogether as i followed his advice for 6 months then said fuck it and listened to Bostin Lloyd's and Dante's protocol. BOTH worked and are far better.
I’d love to run hmg but getting it has been an issue so far.
Going through a fertility clinic is extremely expensive and there protocols are mostly outdated. Just save your money and buy good hmg it makes a huge a difference. I was 30 and completely shut down and just ran a heavy cycle before starting my protocol. I ran aggressive protocol from the get go and got my wife pregnant in 7 months. I also stayed on trt. I ran hmg, hcg, low dose letro, clomid last 3 months and ran any supplement that showed benefits for fertility and as crazy as it sounds iced my balls for 30 mins a day. I just said fuck it and did the kitchen sink protocol
i have pretty good insurance for it, but yes it is.

Obtaining hmg has been a challenge thus far or i would have been on it a while ago.

I disagree I have my cycle in my emergency medical file under listed meds. If I get in a wreck or collapse but especially if I’m bleeding I want the docs to know what is in me. Dying is not worth keeping what I’m obviously doing a secret. People don’t ask if I take shit they ask what. Why lie to docs, I’ve actually flipped a feed opinion of PEDs one even opened a trt clinic. Most are ignorant but if you aren’t and can talk to them in medical terms, most, will listen especially if they aren’t old AF

This strategy only plays out well if you’re well educated on PEDs, to be fair. You clearly are.

A lot of knuckle drafters running around most gyms would sound like junkies arguing why they need a fix going down this path.

I have noticed the prices of hcg and hmg have gone up a lot lately. I used hmg and hcg from Ace who is a gaurenteed sponsors but their prices for both have gone up a lot.

QSC HCG is about a third of the price for a kit. Im having a tough time finding HMG at a decent price. Probably just have to wait for QSC to have it back in stock.

Go ask @SOUR DIESEL for a list. They have helped many people on here and OLM conceive through hmg.

keeping it in a file vs telling a dr everything you’re running is 2 different things.

Telling a dr you’re running anything other than Test is playing with fire. As mentioned, if that goes into your file, it will be pulled by insurance if anything ever happens and you are risking being not covered or denied by insurance. I would not risk it.

I don’t disagree. There is a lot of disregard for the pursuit of knowledge in general, which is so odd when we don’t just use pharma we use pharma applied with syringes that have systemic affects. Guys don’t wanna know why or how shit works just “hey bro I take deca 300, 2 CC a week you think that’s good?” I’m like “you got some cocaine for me?” Huh cocaine, don’t ask me about illegal drugs kid I don’t fucking know you. Somewhere how much you bench changed to how much tren should I take?

Both mid 30s. I’ve been off everything for a good 4-5 years. Have been trying to conceive for 1.5 years. She has checked out fine. I have low counts and poor motility. I used decent amounts from 20-30, competing.

Test: ranges 400-600
Lh and Fsh range 2-3
Estrodiol has always been good
standard blood work, lipids, thyroid, etc all good

I have self medicated with clomid and hcg for the past 2 years. I’ve been trying to acquire hmg.

Have a fertility specialist appointment soon. Can I say an HRT clinic prescribed me hcg or clomid? Is that realistic. I want to be open to what I’ve used so he doesn’t try to put me on stuff or a regimen I’ve been doing for over 2 years? But I also don’t want it to be documented in my medical records that I’ve self medicated.

Is it realistic to say an hrt clinic put me on hcg or clomid for short term fertility safe hrt? Or should I just shut up and roll with the punches even if it delays everything more.

I am also taking all the recommended vitamins and minerals like vit c, Coq10, carnitine, etc.
Ask your specialist if they can test you activin and inhibin levels.

Doesn’t HIPPA prevent your records from an insurance company? I have a big policy and my docs have heard some stories, insurance was labs, BP, drug and nicotine test.
If you sign a treatment consent form with ANY medical professional or life insurance it will generally include a medical records release form as a requirement. Once this is signed they can access any and all records and notes.

If you have the money I would do cash pay with any doctor you work with that you share gear usage with. But regardless most doctors will be extremely exaggerative of whatever you tell them as in their defense they have to be for their insurance purposes, mainly their malpractice insurance.

If you pay cash you remove the insurance company and guidelines which generally makes doctors a bit more realistic and lax on their notes.

So while I’m not advocating you abandon your health, I do agree with @TheOtherOne55 above. If something is not relevant to your doctor visit, I would NOT share it with them.

Example- I’ve used TRT for 5 years vs I’ve ran 2 grams of gear for 5 years will yield a very different result in the medical notes, yet both can relay what is needed for the doctor to make a suggested treatment plan. One is a medical recognized treatment plan that won’t alter your insurance or records… the other will get you a scarlet letter in the medical and insurance world.

Just my .02 and experience.

Interesting, will look into it. Thank you

Will do man, he’s been good to me so far

Yea I guess I’ve been dumb lucky bc when I see a non va doc a pay cash and I always lied and said I was on trt but I wanted them to know. I did lie when I was addicted to Vicodin a decade plus ago. I also got lucky again dumb luck as the doc I use is very open minded and opened a trt clinic that does men’s health as well so for a bill a month he’ll see you for anything. Thanks as usual. I do still have on my emergency med thing that I’m on whatever I’m on jic there’s a wreck or something I know we bleed more even though our blood is thicker which I always assumed was bc of an out of whack RBC to platelet ratio. But I’m not as educated as you maybe you could explain that to me. I’d hate to bleed out bc I didn’t provide info, I used to say I’m on aspirin but that’s a thinner so I figured adding a clotting agent to our thick blood could be a death sentence again all guesses.

I’m speaking from experience and education. Some other doctor or medical professional may disagree, but I wouldn’t suggest a treatment plan any different for someone on gear then I would someone on TRT. Again, one is legal and a medically covered item, the other is considered drug abuse by the medical system.

I see no harm in having an emergency document that your spouse holds onto in case of severe medical case.

But examples-

TRT vs 2 grams of gear. Outcome they’re looking for is high hormones or imbalances causing health issues.

Stimulants vs ephedrine or clen. Again looking for impact on CNS, HR, BP etc but one is legal, the other is drug abuse by medical guidelines.

HGH vs HGH therapy- one is prescribed and accepted, the other is not. Could be used when looking at immune markers or BP issues for examples.

On some degree doctors can almost be blinded by the “drug abuse” aspect and miss giving proper care because they’re so fixated on “it has to be the abuse”.

The biggest thing doctors miss that I believe anyone should ask in the medical community is- what are your non-negotiable items. It’s a waste of everyone’s time if someone is going to keep using high gear and the doctor is treating assuming they’re going to stop… it’s laughable but happens everyday with gear, alcohol, diet, etc.

Once doctors and patients both get on the same page “help me remain healthy while I continue to do these things (if possible)” that’s where true care finally gets implemented IMO.

Yeah some doctors are so fucking stupid. It is mind blowing I had a female PCP who was a nurse practitioner and I think her being female was a part of the issue. This was 2013. I went in there. It was a routine check up she had me take my shirt off I was getting ready for a show so I looked like what I was she drew. She ordered blood labs said it was routine bloodwork and then I got a call to come back up to the VA Couple days later which was odd, but I had just started going to the VA regularly at that point, so I didn’t know it was odd. I went up there and she had she was like tripping out on me mind she’s wearing cowboy boots and has a cowboy hat hanging on the back of her fucking Office chair. She just kind of an over-the-top character anyway, oddly enough, she was white and spoke English which at the VA is extremely rare and she said that she had gone ahead and had my testosterone checked without consenting with me or telling me that she was going to do that and that my testosterone had max the machine out at 8000 and asked me if I took testosterone and I said I take TRT from time to time because I had low libido and she flipped the fuck out on me and told me that I would be dead in three months with my testosterone that high so that’s how ignorant some of these doctors are she genuinely believed that I was going to be dead in three months because my testosterone registered at 8000 she ordered an EKG for me when the results came back basically perfect she was furious like she was furious she was screaming at me , and then I requested mass and spoke with the admiral that was in charge of the VA hospital where I was at at the time and I don’t know if she got punished for it or censure or anything like that but they did switch me doctors and that’s just the system with the VA now the other doc I see that’s not a part of the VA that’s part of the local medical community here. He’s awesome he’ll ask me questions like how much do you take when you’re Taking Testosterone and why and what are the pros and cons and he like wants to learn but that’s so rare. They are just so hardwired to see testosterone as the devil if you were to go in there and admit to being addicted to OxyContin, they would literally like patch you on the back and encourage you, but you tell him you’re on testosterone, and they want to send you to the gallows, mind you I was only popping 4 Omnadren a week, not exactly a crazy dose.
