I’ve been trying to find threads that go into detail on the negatives to crash estrogen but seems to only find vague answers. Most discussions are focused on high estrogen but I wonder aside from feeling like garbage are there any direct impacts on fat loss and muscle gain?

And also if someone were to have a heavy offseason plenty of gear with crashed e2 would all the excess calories just be stored as fat since muscles can’t store glycogen?

I also noticed I tend to store subq water easily with low e2 but when I’m normal it’s much less and more to stored muscle

And I t find my cravings are worse when crash but high normal I can stick to diet better

While estrogen does play a role in insulin sensitivity/storing glycogen, I would imagine steroids override this well enough considering most peoples e2 is pretty much none existing when going into a show

Same goes for fatloss

I must be misunderstanding this statement.

You have to have some estrogen, can’t just crash it.

Low e2 and high e2 often have similar sides.

But estrogen is very important in the male body.

Yes but even with enough gear if you body is so flat from low estrogen how would the steroids work to gain muscle or facilitate fast loss?

Yes, low estrogens can hinder fat loss. The E2/b.f. curve is shaped like an inverse-U – if E2 is too high or too low, fat accrual is more rapid and/or feminine in its distribution (i.e., to the gluteal/buttocks and pecs/breast).

You can learn more about the function of estrogens in men here: https://thinksteroids.com/articles/estrogen-functions-in-men/ and the section therein on estrogen here [link]

Because thermodynamics still applies even when estrogen is low

Yes but the excess calories go t fat i stead of muscle. So yes thermodynamics works with weight gain to fat ! Post above links to study that’s proves that

You’re way oversimplifying it. It’s not that black and white.

You think on anabolics with hard training, potentially gh and slin, a high protein/carb and low fat diet, you’d gain fat and no muscle just because your estrogen is low?

Th a valid point and I may misspoken but what I mean is the P ratio would be skewed less favorably compared to optimal estrogen level

I still confuse with mixed replies im not sure if low estrogen would impact a succinct offseason or contest prep. meaning whether my e2 is 5 or 90 i can still gain muscle a lose fat just the same. like me for example i hold MORE water in bad places with low e2 but look better when e2 high normal, not sure but want to look the reason behind why that happens

Correct, the Laws of Thermodynamics apply to weight (body mass) whereas metabolism applies to body composition.

Wasn’t attempting to downplay that other factors will effect comp with my comment, just that AAS/peptides etc will likely override to a significant degree estrogens effect on tissue distribution (fat vs muscle) just based off what we’ve seen anecdotally.

Though of course I’m not advocating to just crush e2 in the off-season or anything like that.

therotically lots of anabolic would make e2 not relevant but testosterone benefit effects require estrogen presence otherwise it useless according to google function
but i want real life experience more valuable
and ppl keep saying estrogen anabolic!

Response to Your Question Estrogen plays a crucial role in regulating metabolism and maintaining a healthy weight. When estrogen levels are low, the body is more likely to store fat in the abdominal area. Estrogen signaling in the hypothalamus also helps regulate energy expenditure and body weight. A decrease in estrogen levels may lead to reduced energy expenditure and increased fat storage.

Insulin Resistance Low estrogen levels can contribute to insulin resistance, making the body more prone to storing fat and using starches and blood sugar less effectively.

Yes, feeling low can lead to both weight loss and weight gain. Depression may cause weight loss for several reasons, including: Changes in Appetite Depression often reduces appetite, which can result in unintentional weight loss. Mood Fluctuations: The overwhelming mood changes associated with depression can disrupt normal eating patterns.

Medications: Some medications prescribed for depression can lead to weight loss as a side effect. However, sudden or extreme weight loss can pose health risks and lead to low energy levels.

Why would you crash you estrogen???
Many guys peeled with estrogen in a healthy level..
Would zero estrogen make fat loss a little easier?? Maybe but at what cost??
