I cant seem to get 8 hours of solid sleep to save my life. I go to bed early like 9:00pm, but I will just lay there until 11:30pm before I actually fall asleep...i might as well just go to bed at 11...or, I will be in a light sleep all night and every little noise will wake me up, so even though im asleep, i will wake up every 3-5 mins.... I dont take any naps doing the day, so i know thats not it either...i know im not the only one who is having or had this problem, so if anyone knows of any good remedies to help me catch them Z's please chime in and let us know.....thanks...i actually tried counting sheep last night!!...shit didnt work
 
oh yeah...im looking for something natural...no drugs, if possible
 
nevermind....did a search and this topic was dicussed last month with no real natural ways......sorry........ but the other post was all about drugs, so if you do have a natural way let me know....
 
Believe it or not, try a glass of warm milk, yea that's right, just like your mother used to do for you. When you heat milk up it releases some of the amino acid tryptophan. (I think that's the one) This will help to calm and relax you allowing you to fall into a sleep pattern more easily. About 30 minutes before bed..........no cocoa just warm milk.;)

Damn, that's a bitch! Not sure. You might be able to get tryptophan from a health food store. Like I said I think that's the one. maybe google it and see what you get. As I am not lactose intolerant, this is something I do not know a lot about.

GABA ZMA!! Works pretty good. Take about 30 minutes before when you want to fall asleep. You can also try some calming relaxation techniques. I still sometimes have issues where I just sit there all night and am thinking of random ideas and thoughts. The goal is to basically clear your mind of thoughts that is why you are so restless. Look into some forms of meditation relaxation or something around that realm of things.

Sometimes I have to put in a movie that I have seen 300 times that I know I will fall asleep once I start watching the first 5 minutes of it.

A warm bath , sprinkled with mineral salts, it makes me sleep like a baby.
 
Try a sleep aid from the natural foods section of your grocery store , you might be surprised , good stuff and not really a drugged feeling, and some sleepy time tea , you'll be dialed !

I like the milk idea but I read you are lactose intolerate I saw the sleepy tea thats a good one,tryptaphain,thats the turkey one but I havent seen Valirian root I dont know if Im spelling it right but I heard thats like a all natural sleep aid,check that out.Peace.... good luck.
 
turkey has been working for the past couple of nights....so I will stixk with that for awhile
 
glad to here its working. works to well during work hours for me.
 
during work hours i am WIDE AWAKE and full of energy, my co-workers hate me because I have so much energy and I get so much more done...i dont know if it is because I work out in the morning before work, but im the guy running up the stairs when everyone else is taking the elevator with starbucks in hand at 6:00am.
