Chael Sonnen fails second drug test, tests positive for HGH and EPO - MMA Fighting

It really did not bother me at all that his first failed test was for anastrozole and clomiphene. That does seem logical when stopping TRT, but now this second one is a bit far fetched. He says he was prescribed HGH and EPO to also transition off of TRT, but no one is buying it this time including Dana White / UFC.

I know he is officially retired, but this test was a June 5th when he was still scheduled to fight on the UFC 175 card. Do you guys buy his explanation or was he just using HGH & EPO to cheat?

He is just the ultamite talker / bser. So I like how he promotes himself and fight, but generally don't believe shit he says.

As a bodybuilder who uses peds I really don't think that its a huge of a deal, I actually welcome them in pro sports, it sure as hell makes it more entertaining to see guys breaking records and being a better athlete, but the officials and presidents of these organizations have to look like there doing something and keeping tabs on these guys.

I'm telling you it's gonna be a sad day in pro sports when nobody takes peds, but I doubt that will ever happen.

I agree with you, but the vast majority of paying fans think it's cheating and are turned off by the idea. So sports organizations whatever they may be will make it seem like they are hard on PED's

EPO is great for endurance and recovery. The more red blood cells, the more hemoglobin to carry oxygen molecules.

On another board I frequent, there are a number of fighters on there who use epo. If you keep things monitored it's a lot safer than most people give it credit for.
