Cheapest place to buy a laptop???

Any plane you know cheaper than the the stores or hp or dell web sites?

I lke the HP 17" with 1 GB the one that comes with the video cameera and the micro included, i found it in Brandsmart USA at $879.

There are so many online pc stores around. Just google the one you want. Let's say, Lenovo Thinkpad ***. Then you will find a lot of those stores that offer this pc. I also believe there is a site that compares the prices for all those big firms out there. Just google them, with no luck, try Ebay

I always use Dell Latitudes. The one thing you have to understand in a laptop is that there are A, B & C grade parts. You get what you pay for as far as tolerences are concerned and stability as they are more succeptable to hardware failure due to heat, etc. I use Latitudes because they use all A class parts. The Inspiron model is more geared toward home use and has B & C quality parts. Since I deal with businesses, they cant afford to lose data, or have down time so they opt for Latitudes. You can get them refurbished from $499 on up in Dell's Outlet:

My favorite at this point is a Dell Latitude D620 & D630 with fingerprint recognition which usually start in the refurbisshed section for around $700.

I love how they specify "Backed by North American-based technical support" LOL! I've been looking for a new laptop myself. Thinking of selling my old iBook on eBay and getting a windows based one.

the new intel macs are VERY tempting (ive been a die hard PC for years) with 3rd party software you can run XP as a program in OSX. very cool.

not as cheap as Dell Latitudes (usually) but really becoming a viable alternative to microsoft.
