Ed,
i was benching and it wasn't even a weight that was outside my range. I got 6 good reps and felt strong. I came down for the 7th and i felt the most horrible tearing sensation and i swear i heard a noise like a telephone book tearing. It was a complete tear where the tendon attaches to the pectoralis major.
I saw an orthapaedic surgeon and he told me that he could repair it so i had the surgery. It is completely functional and it looks better than it could have. I just don't think i can ever compete with it because it would through my look off. I also underwent physical therapy. i am going to try to post another pic up. I have one of my legs and am having the hardest time resizing it.
As far as the range of motion and strength, most of it is there. I just get nervous when it feels 'tight' in the last inch or so before a bar/db breaks the plane of my chest. I stay right above that and have been incorporationg FST-7 at the end of every chest workout. As far as strength, i can go heavy on dbs but i feel better on the hammer strength machines....more comfortable mentally.
