So with all this talk about genetics, i have just started back to the gym about 6 weeks ago. i am somewhere around 225 in this picture(just snapped a quick one this morning. You can see that even though i had the right pec repaired the look is off. I am 5'7" 225 and i would guess somewhere around 15% bf. Please no making fun=-)

I don't get why you say you have shitty genetics when you use less than half of the steroids others at your same size use.

And good job with getting the size back on after your pec injury. That takes a lot of mental patience and hard work.

Keep up the good work.

I don't have 'shitty' genetics. i have average genetics and i use low-moderate doseages now. I did two high dsose cycles and honestly felt so horrible it just wasn't worth it. i am comfortable anywhere from 225-240. Anything over that at my height and i start feeling really bad.

Thanks, for the compliment. I am just scared the chest is going to re-rip and i am going to be really upset then. I can go moderately heavy and have been making use of FST-7 on every chest workout. It seems to be growing on pace with the other bodyparts.

^^^ LOL my bad on that one, I looked at hellraisers thread before yours and got the titles mixed up.:p

I'm the same with re-injuring my shoulder. Had rotator cuff and other stuff fixed after it was shredded to hell.

Just work up the weight slowly, and try not to make any mistakes. Flat barbell benched yesterday for the 4th time since my surgeries and there was no pain.... Been doing dumbells, but don't find the growth the same as barbell. Got to work around it.

Fun? Fun of what? You look terrific!

A lean 225 lbs at 5'7'' is something bro... especially for being back in the gym for 6 weeks only!

Keep up the great work; your upper body is awesome. :)

Any legs pics?

Yeah, why don't you take off da pants!:D (remember that from born in East LA)

Anyway, I also tore my right pec, it looks about the same.

you look great bro, i love the way you look. keep it up

shit bro thats a solid ass 225! although the pic is small, I can tell you got a solid ass build, sorry to hear about the pec tear though...thats sucks (OUCH). just keep doing what your doing bro, cause whatever it is its working!!!!

Your not even close to %15 b/f. I'd be shocked if you were over 12 and not suprised if closer to 10.

told ya u shouldnt be worried about postin your pic!

new screenname is Notsosmall32

A good friend of mine tore his pec a while ago and had surger also. He sticks with floor presses or that ROM (basically a half press) and its working great.

You have a solid build though....very solid.

Thank you for all the compliments. I wish i had some secret to put th weight back on but all i did was eat the way i used to, train hard, heavy, and brief and sleep a lot. I have muscle memory to thank for most of it. It is pretty amazing how muscle memory works.

Thats basically what i have been doing. I can do almost any exercises except bench. I come down as far as i can before the tendon feels tight. it is a decent ROM and it seems to be working. The strength is coming up and i feel fairly comofrtable on the smith machine and hammer strength machines.

Phidias, i have a leg pic. I am trying to shrink it down from 970kb-ish. once i get that i will post it up.

hey big mofo! lol

how did you tear it? bb or db press?

also did you go see anybody after that and what kind of rehabilitation work did you do?

hope you get your range back, looking good though, goodluck with all

Ed,

i was benching and it wasn't even a weight that was outside my range. I got 6 good reps and felt strong. I came down for the 7th and i felt the most horrible tearing sensation and i swear i heard a noise like a telephone book tearing. It was a complete tear where the tendon attaches to the pectoralis major.

I saw an orthapaedic surgeon and he told me that he could repair it so i had the surgery. It is completely functional and it looks better than it could have. I just don't think i can ever compete with it because it would through my look off. I also underwent physical therapy. i am going to try to post another pic up. I have one of my legs and am having the hardest time resizing it.

As far as the range of motion and strength, most of it is there. I just get nervous when it feels 'tight' in the last inch or so before a bar/db breaks the plane of my chest. I stay right above that and have been incorporationg FST-7 at the end of every chest workout. As far as strength, i can go heavy on dbs but i feel better on the hammer strength machines....more comfortable mentally.

dude i hear you after an injury minor or major it fucks with your head for awhile,,,kinda like a car accident scared for awhile afterwards driving lol

sounds good though in terms rehabilitation....as for competiting dream i dont know, maybe cuz the pic was small, when i first saw your avatar i didnt notice it first. but im sure you will compete one day anyways, F it! start with small local shows then go from there....my buddy competes but i dont so dont really listen to me here haha.

figure out how to resize them leg photos man! lol

your a large 225

I still cant believe you thought you were even close to %15.

I cant see my abs:D I find that disturbing and believe me the pic is flattering. my wife has agreed to take some leg pics tonight while we are packing for the disney cruise tomorrow. I will post them up.

I am really hard on myself fourthgen, especially since coming back from my injury. I have to have everything perfect and each meal at its appropriate time. I can't lift chest heavy anymore so i am trying to buckle down on nutrition and all to make up for it.

You look great man. Give yourself some time. Don't be in a hurry with your chest. Start with light weight limited ROM. Work your way up when working chest. Do like 10-15 sets pyrimiding up.
Keep up the good work!
