Chris Jalali

I just heard that Chris Jalali is in a Texan hospital with dehydration and his internal organs are not responding. Does anyone have anymore information on this? He competed in the USA this past weekend.

Horrible news. What weight class was he in? I did not see his name.

I don't see his name on my list either, but I only have the top five in each class. He said he was going to be there. He had a photo shoot scheduled also. Maybe this illness hit him and didn't make it.

I read this on Muscle Mayhem Forums this morning. It was posted by Mo Elbasouni. I believe they are friends, so I think it is a reliable source. Here's Mo's post:

"Chris Jalali, a competitor at last week's USA's, is in critical condition right now due to severe dehydration. It's really serious; his internal organs aren't working, according to a friend that visited him.

Chris is a good kid; he's always positive, loves to paint, and spends a lot of his free time helping his parents run a resteraunt, somewhere in TX. Doctors don't know if he is going to make it out of is one, so please, if you know Chris or his family, they need all the emotional support you can give them."

Chris placed 10th in the light-heavy class.

I hung out with Chris and roomed with him at the Arnold Classic back in March. This is terrible news. He's a great positive kid and I had a nice time meeting him.

A friend of mine who was at the USA just told me that Chris did not show up for the evening show. Probably was the beginning of his problems.

I also roomed with Chris at the Arnold and have to say he is definitely a positive uplifting spirit. From what I gathered he is very kind and loyal to his friends and family.
Our prayers are with him.

In my prayers...

Not to be a downer but what do you win for it a 10-20.00 trophy. Is it worth near death experience. I do pray for him as we all make mistakes as have I many times. I just hope he pulls through.
