I dont know about you guys but i really like the sour taste of CM.

i mix my own intra drink with 6-7g CM in it (with other stuff) and use a packet of pink lemonade with it and covers the taste great

Forgot to mention that mixed with strawberry flavor protein tastes great.

Just to mention, yesterday I had no problems, so no CM related headaches, just probably dehydration.

Got some Crystal Light from the grocery store - truvia lemonade.
BP was really up yesterday don't know why- except stress, I was so pissed off took my car to get tires rotated and I watch the guys beating on my tires to remove them and then broke 3 lug nuts.

Drank 10 grams CM with a packet of CL and baaam BP down 20 points...
it still taste like battery acid with lemon but not so much the burn.

Well I found a way to "buffer" the Citrulline, if by anything accident.
After being on a 2 week vacation visiting family - my digestive system has been off, lots of reflux, my OTC cure is taking baking soda in water with Mio flavor liquid.
Yesterday as I always do I dose the 10 grams of CM in mio with water but this time I added my teaspoon of baking soda, and other than a mild salty taste and the bubbles from the baking soda - no acid at all.
Enormous pumps in chest shoulders and tris - so it's all good.

If you put citrulline malate in some kind of lemonade or similiar tasting water...it will go down very easily...I use 10 grams of it and i use either those true lemon stick packs or one of the flavor systems that you mix with water

the pure acidity of slamming it was bothering my teeth and upper GI and giving partial reflux - doc wanted upper GI done and showed some reflux damage.

I had the same problem years ago when drinking diets sodas - which are primarily phosphoric acid -lol.
Happy to find a way to buffer the taste to nill with the baking soda.

If youre asking if its better for pumps....id have to say theyre probably about equal....but CM has other health benefits im interested in as well

one of the pre workouts i take has 6 grams in it but i do use 5 grams from TN in my intra shake and the taste has actually grown on me. I dont have any of these other issues to speak of.

Sometimes i take superpump max pre as i love the taste of the blu rasberry and one scoop only has 2 grams so i add 5 grams to that as well

Try potassium bicarbonate with citrulline. I've used both inconjunction with each other.

Potassium bicarbonate has a much better effect on calcium handling (reabsorption) over sodium bicarbonate. Which results in a bit better buffer and better pumps, if one's after that.

Wouldn't advise it if one's on a K+ (potassium)-sparing diuretic or highish dose of an ACEi or ARB.

I am on 10 mg twice a day of altace so that knocks me out I guess.

Same here. I actually don't mix it up....I just eat a couple of scoops about 20-30 minutes before training. It contains a lot of Hydromax...so its clumpy enough to chew. Kind of like eating a chewy sweet tart.

I have plain citrulline and just toss back a couple scoops of it the same way when I want extra.
