Sam has got to be a tough kid, he competes every year, sometimes twice. I was a baby and could only compete everyother year. He has been through a lot thsi year from what I understand. To come in his usual shape is a HUGE THUMBS UP to him. I think next year, if he changes a few things, could be his year.

I really appreciate the positive feedback guys. Truth be told, this was my best condition to date. Glutes were striated, hams were nice and seperated (both usual trouble areas for me), waist was down over an inch and I was actually able to fill up without spilling over. Received alot of much needed positive feedback. It has been a long tough year for me physically, mentally and emotionally but I was determined to finish it out strong. Now I am looking forward to a much needed break and some R&R with family and friends. Not too long though because the judges still want me to bring them skinny quads up a bit. Anyone got any good quad training tips....?

Sam: Why don't you take a trip to work out at Phil's gym,I drove 3 hours to see Phil and it was worth it.He has all the right equipment. I do have a contract, but I am not sure they would pay for a trainer. I'll find out. I have always been a firm believer that as much as we all think we may know, there is always much more to be learned. I dont consider myself above needing help that is for sure. Any thoughts on deep tissue massage for stretching the fascia, speeding recovery and increasing blood flow. I am considering that coupled with an intense stretching program. I have very limited flexibility. I have tried nearly every workout scheme imaginable with minimal improvement. Its the one thing the judges always single out on me. Very frustrating!
