My buddy went to school with him and said that Phil has crazy genetics and was huge and strong before he even considered lifting weights. Phil played a lot of sports. Basketball, football, etc.

I watched the finals last night, I must say here is what I saw ( I am sure some other saw this) from the Mandatories:

Damn it if David Henry was just about 3" taller, his conidioning was SOOO much better than the other guys, and when he turns around holy S!$$. Snakes all over his back. Also I find it interesting how Phil wasnt on his home turf and still pulled it off. On a side not Kamali just showed the world again how cocky he is. What was the point of bringing Bautista onstage, this is BB not WWE... I have major respect for the 2 blind guys, that Welling guy is awesome

My 3 thoughts about the show:

Phil Heath def. won the show

David Henry def. got shafted with a 4th place finish

King Kamali def. got a gift at 6th place

If you guys didnt know what Phil weighed what would you predict his weight to be? I seriously look at him and think 230-240.

Reminds me of Flex Wheeler with those muscle bellies and illusion of size.

Heath is incredible.. I don't think anyone has won their first 2 pro shows since Flex did it back in '93 and he won 4 that year I believe..
King is a joke. He was bashing on Henry in the last issue of MD. I guess he's just envious or just a hater. So, I'm glad Henry out placed the jerk AGAIN..

Paradise Cup...he looks terrific.

He didn't make the same mistake a lot of guys do at their first pro show..try to come in huge at the expense of condition.

I am really impressed with his physique.

Phil Heath

The strides Phil has made in a short period of time is simply amazing. From what I hear he has a great head on his shoulders. His future looks extremely bright and hopefully he doesn't try to go the size-above-all-else route.

What is that now 7 for 7? I think maybe he lost the overall in his first show and that is it.
