|--[\\\\]>-------- Gooey and i went last nite and i must say it was a very good movie. I am one of the few who knew nothing about the story (i never read the book) so it was a little confusing at some points, there are a lot of biblical terms and names that i am not familiar with. Over all, great movie, i am sure of course itll draw a lot of controversy....especially since after watching it, now i can see that the bible COULD HAVE been the biggest 'lie' of all time! Its very interesting to see that there are so many if's, and's, or but's that went along with this story.

I dont know if I can trust a guy who thinks MI:3 is one of the best movies ever!! I think I barely made it through the first one and fell asleep the second and wont even attempt the third...

Im the type of guy that likes movies that captivate my mind, for example "Vacation", European Vacation, Christmas Vacation and yes of course Vegas Vacation...

I thought it was long boring and drawn out , how could you possibly see that the bible could have been a lie from this movie

only the book does the best job of explaining this , but to me its simply blastphamy and is strictly fiction and entertainment.

|--[\\\]>-------- B/c, as i said in my original post, it brings up points that makes it sound like the bible COULD HAVE had some changes in it. i by no means am a religion expert, couldnt tell you the first thing about the bible, so from the stand point of s'one like me, who have no feelings on whether or not what this book/movie does to the christian/chatholic religion, makes it interesting to me.

yea thats why i saw it , seemed interesting but it was just to slow.

I am a little leary to watch it

Because I read the book and LOVED it!!! Thought it was one of the best books I have read to date, and I read a lot/ and have read some great books.

Here is what I have heard:

If you have not read the book you will LOVE the movie and think it us just awesome.
If you HAVE read the book and watch it, you will be disappointed and will think it was sort of a 'rushed' movie. I am going to watch it this week, and will post back. Good to see you posting still V.

My advice: EVERYBODY should read this book, it is a GREAT story with some interesting and sometimes shocking historical facts and info. Get the illustrated version, it is worth it to see all these wonderful places, oh and I have been to the Louvre twice myself... AMAZING place, art, and people.

also--those who have seen the movie, the part where the old man dies at the begging, he is taking a painting off the wall, did that painting have any meaning to the movie, i was just wondering what that painting was.

if you guys like the book, my gf said Brown's other book is 100% better than DCode, its called Angels and Deamons i guess.

Be careful as to what you regard as "historical fact". A good portion of what Dan Brown says is only his theory or suppositions.

I agree with you, it's a fantastic piece of fiction, full of twists, turns, conspiracies, and surprises. But please remember, that's exactly what it is....fiction.
