you should post your squat videos man, thats where its at, and they were beastly.
leg press videos are only good to impress noobs.
Agreed. This guy should also take those a little deeper.

I'd say he's doing okay - here's a pic of him onstage.
Ok, now it's your turn!
Why should he go deeper? Can you go half of that range with that much weight? Can you even unrack 1590? Dave is a strong MF'r and that is a lot of weight to move. But please explain why he should take those deeper. That is about the same range of motion I use on presses. I am only interested in quads on the press, I would say so is Dave!!Agreed. HAHAHAHA yes, for anyone that works in these ranges of weight ie >1000lbs tell me how your legs feel after a few good working sets. Your hams will be stinging along with the rest of your leg!! OUCH!!I also agree, why deeper, bec you should?? well going certain % ranges of motions on exercises still work amazing for strength and growth.
Should'a put 1600 neat on that sucker though!! What's another 10 lbs??? LOL.

Good work Dave and thanks for putting this up. Should'a put 1600 neat on that sucker though!! What's another 10 lbs??? LOL.
Why half range of motion? Does it work better than full? Could you apply this same principle to a front squat and only go halfway saying you just wanted to hit your quads?
Hey DB,
Are you that big motherfucker I saw @ ironsport last Friday while I was doing my axle presses?
wouldn't deeper elicit greater microtrauma in every area of the leg? Just think if he had full ROM on the heavier weight. I'll ask you a question. Why half range of motion? Does it work better than full? Could you apply this same principle to a front squat and only go halfway saying you just wanted to hit your quads?
IMO... YES.
Dave,
What did you perform first... the 1000 lbs for 25 reps or the 1590 lbs for 10?
In any case, thanks for for sharing, that was VERY motivating! Especially since I skipped legs today to train chest & shoulders... LOL!
Oh and Oldfella, glad to see you back home to share your wisdom, buddy...
i did the heavy set first, followed by the widowmaker.
