Deadlift Style

Just curious about what style of deadlift you use for back training.
1. Hands between legs
2. Hands outside of legs

I'm sure there are proper terminologies for these, but I don't know much about powerlifting.

I usually use alternating grip and hands outside of legs

Deadlifts are the real deal

I go outside the legs and pick it up from the FLOOR!, True deads are from the floor PERIOD!, and they work. You wanna get that "powerful" look..then look know further. Anybody who says different, doesn't do them or there scared lol! :p :D :p :D

`

Same here, From the floor-hands outside of legs- double overhand grip.

Will Doing Sumo deads from the floor (With hands inside of legs) stil give that thick powerful look?

I love from-the-floor deads and rack deads both with an alternating shoulder width grip. Soo...that's outside of legs.

Does anyone think using an over/under grip could be the cause of my slightly different trap developement?

Dave

i think so yes
i use a alternating and my shoulders are mismatched also
i try to do dbl overhand but cant hold too much this way, ill use straps at 405 like a puss lol
but i go feet 6" apart and hands at thight width , then its a looooooong hoist to lock out, and i also do rack deads and reverse band deads.
i think rack deads will give u the thick look also.
frk

I have always done deads from the floor with a double overhand grip slightly outside of legs. I've been doing rack deads with the same grip and finally hit 545 for 8 reps!! Now I'll shoot for 10 reps then take it back to the floor with the same weight and go from there. I think Is a mental thing, knowing that I already can move that weight will make it easier from the floor.

ASONE....Hate The Weights!!!!
