Dealifts on Quad day ?

How do most of you split to work on deadlifts ?

I am currently doing about 5 -6 sets of squats, then 4-5 sets of deadlifts, then, 4 sets of leg ext, then 2 sets of leg curls. Seems to workout ok.

Oh yeah, I do back and traps a day or two before. Cpou;d I be overworking my traps possisibly since they are involved in the deadlift ???
 
there is a guy at my gym that is very very old school about his training. He has a kid that is a sophmore in high school and plays football. He has him doing deads on the same day as squats and this kid has put on 120lbs in about 2 years drug free. And yes, here in our area, all high school athletes are tested several time through out the season.

I would say that if they are growing then you are fine. If they dont seem to be growing then split the days up a little further.

I was kindof amazed by this. I dont think that the schools test in my area at all for gear or anything for that matter. Just a simple physical.

seems a little odd to me that a hs would test all its athletes multiple times a year...especially when one season is only about 3 months long. weird...

120lbs, seriously? what did he weigh before?
 
I have been doing spilt squats 2sets before deads for the past 3 months and I like it.

I could not do it. Atleast not while hitting the weight I need for squats.
