Down Time or Off cycle question

I was wandering what some of you guys think about off cycles. I finished a small cycle of suspension. I took 1 week off then started my HCG @ 1,000IU every other day for 3 weeks. That ended last week. So it's actually been about 5 weeks since I've had any anabolics. Would that be long enough of a wait to begin a new cycle or would it be better to wait a while longer?
 
How long were you on for? In a perfect world...time on=time off.

Wow. I thought HCG was strictly PCT. I have never used during a cycle before.

I was using quite a bit of anabolics throughout the 90's. I had some heallth issues with with my digestive tract for a while and couldn't eat a high protein diet. I was down from Jan 2001 through Oct 2004. I started back Nov 04 @ 5' 11" /170lbs or so. One year and 2 months later I'm 5'11" /240lbs and things are going pretty good. I was weighing around 265lbs when I got sick, so I"m still trying to come back up and hopefully be able to compete as a solid 275er in powerlifting and the diet down and do a bodybuilding show in the 235-240 range.
My main reason for asking is I"ve got a powerlifting meet coming up the middle of Mar and am wanting to get started ASAP to get ready but only if I"m going to get results. I don't want to waste it by starting to early.

I know powerlifters carry a higher percentage of fat!

But are you saying you gained 100lbs in 14 months and are asking our advice.

I am saying I gained 70lbs. I've been in the 240-260 lbs most of my adult life. So actually I"m back to what was my normal weight. When I got sick I dropped almost a hundred pounds due to not being able to eat very many calories and hardly no protein. Chrons's disease tends to do that to people. I went from the 170 to 220 clean when I got back into my lifting. Then I used some supsension and made another good litlle jump.I guess the old saying of muscle memory has some validity to it since my strength and weight came back pretty quick. I found a powerlifting meet coming up soon but when I found out about it I just finished the susp and am not going to have alot of time in between finishing and competing in the meet.
I'm asking for adivce on rest time between cycle, not advice for cycling or how to get anything. I know how to gain weight, for the most part. When I need advice for that, I'll ask. I"m trying to get ready for a powerlifting meet and was wanting to know what some other people think out there besides just myself. I tend to gain knowledge from listening to others and not by thinking I know everything. If you don't want to give and opinion, fine, I could care less, but maybe there are some out there that would like to offer some opinions as to what has worked for them. If I knew everything, I would have never joined this forum. I like to take several different opinions, weigh them out, and then make the best possible educated guess that I can based on my goals and needs. I hope this answers your and anyone else's questions.
