Hey Guys,

I always make a 10 white, 2 yolk omlette every morning. Howeevr, yesterday i was in a BIG rush. So i just drank the 10 whites and 2 yolks and brought my toast in the car w/ me. Does it make a difference?

I sometimes drink half and cook half as well (depending on my appetite). Is there any real problem doing it this way? Thanks!
 
I've done this hundreds of times. No problems for me.
I have heard of people getting salmanella, (not sure if I spelled that right)
but so far so good for me. I will sometimes throw my eggs in with oats, whey and milk and blend and chug. Then I am out the door.
 
Cool, i just didnt know if there was any nutritional gain to cooking them.
 
You will get zero nutritional gain if you drink them raw. Forget about Rocky, but eggs have an enzyme in them, that if heat has not been applied (cooking), the enzyme will not allow the body to absorb the protein from the eggs, so you are 100% wasting them.

Ans of course, there's always the risk of salmonella.
 
Yeah, thats what i thought. I just opened the carton and drank them. Then added two whole eggs from fridge.

Big A- Can you point me to some information on the enzyme and it inhibiting the human body from absorbing the protein from a raw egg? I'm searching, but haven't found anything on it yet ... thanks, man.
