Eliminating/ preventing bruises
I am wondering what if anything you guys do about injection site bruises.

my typical week of arm bruises and marks for 1 arm
4 non noticeable from 3 feet pin pricks
1-2 max little flower shaped injection marks (no prob)
2-3 small dime sized bruises.
1-2 large but hardly visable bruises 2-3"


I have tried antibiotic mixed with cortizone creams, as well as boswellian herbal prep, toothpaste, etc. Anyone have any good ideas to speed healing, dissipate blood under surface, prevent the red mini scabs etc????

Any ideas for any type of blemish prevention or speeding elimination would be appreciated.

I get bruises like that to. I take a lot of vitamin c and it helps. I'm taking 1000mgs with each meal. I heard you can take up to 10,000mg a day.

hi
bruising is caused by bleeding, you most likely have delayed clotting for some reason.

asprin, fat burners and other drugs can increase clotting time. also being low in vitamin k can be the reason too, if the body doesn't have enough it can't make prothrombin, the chemical that clots blood. antibiotics and aspirin can cause a deficiency and I guess not eating enough green vegies, it's in egg yolks too.

bioflavanoids strengthen capillaries, preventing bruises.

try this to prevent bruising:

1000 mg of vitamin C 3x/daily. for every 1000mg of vitamin c, take 200 mg of bioflavanoids, they work synergistially.

vitamin K tabs (menadine-sp?), take a few 100 mcg tabs a day for a week or two, keep it under 500mcg, there's a chance of toxicity around there. vit k isn't usually in multi vitamins, if this works for you I'd take a few a week for maintainance.

to treat a bruise you aready have the enzyme in pineapple juice helps. there was a study on boxers, in 4 days the bruises were gone in 78% of the boxers that supplemented with this enzyme (in pill form) you can get the enzyme at health food stores, the actual pineapple doesn't have that much. it's called bromelain, take 150-450 mg 3x/day on an empty stomach.

tahnks for the tips, since my post I found 1 thing that works decent, at least just for the pin marks, and tiny red spots.

I mix equal parts of anitbiotic, cortisone and retin-a in the palm of my hand, and then rub it into the affected area before bed.

it is probably jus the grease having the effect, anti scabbinig

Though I'm sure this has no effect on bruising, I have had no bruises since my last post.

i have been having th same problem with my biceps.first it was only pin marks, no big deal.now i got these big black and blues that are very noticeable and people are starting too ask me what happened.
i think ill have to give my bis a break for a little.my girlfriend thinks is funny.she said someone sked her in the gym today what happened to that guys biceps.she just replied with a smicker i dont know who he is.
bla bla bla.
dont like too many people knowing are business keeps the drama away.

Those site injects do cause some nasty bruises. Foe the appearance, Ive just used some of wifeys makeup. It doesnt make them go away, but the real dark bruises can be lightened significantly. She is getting me some stuff they use on discoloration on dead bodies (she's a mortician) and that stuff will cover any bruise totally. I'll let you all know how it works.
