Does anyone have a problem with a very red face while running gear? I have only used testosterone in the last decade. Years ago I also used D-bol and Deca, But I don't remember having such a red face while running it. I am 41 now 220, 5'7' 20%fat, and BP 130/90, using a keto diet for 6 weeks, 500mg of test enanthate a week. I am very happy with the progress, aside from the red face:confused:.

Anyone have this problem? Or know how to help it?

i'm an old dude to bro, 20%bf and your BP are a bit high. i get the red face on test as well and it bloats. i found that getting my BP down really really helps with the red face. in the mean time tan. also it doesn't hurt to get rid of some red blood cells. i wont say donate blood, it depends what all is in your system but for a man you gotta find a way to bleed occasionally. obviously women dont have this issue.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I thought BP could play a big role. i never thought about donating blood to lower RBC. Interesting. Definitely have the bloat. thanks.

Yea your RBC count might be high and yea donating blood is a good way to help with it

I have always wondered what happens with the compounds in your blood. Obviously they are in your bloodstream so how and "If" it could effect somebody whom is receiving the blood.
Donating blood is a good way of reducing your RBC's but obviously there is something else to it

Classic case of what I call 'androgen glow' (if it's not termed yet I have the patent as of now). I've seen some 'natural' pro's with that reddish glow going on which obviously betrays their natural status.

Do you not have it all over your body, not just on your face?

That sounds like High Blood pressure to me. Have you checked your BP when you are feeling flush? Do your eyes get a kind of glassy look to them?

he told you his BP 130/90 yes kinda high. we discussed that in this thread but yes the rbc will add to the look for sure

No. I am pretty sure it is just my face. When I wake up in the morning, my face looks normal, but as the day progresses, it gets very red, and kind of hot, especially working out.

Doubt it's blood pressure as the real cause.

I would guess it's overstimulation of the sympathetic nervous system that is causing it. Facial reddening or blushing is from T2.

I'm guessing here, as I'm not a specialist in this, but probably the higher test is activating the release of more acetylcholine and thus more norepinephrine and/or epinephrine and nitric oxide ect. . . causing vasodilation of the capillaries of the skin in the face. Normally it would cause vasoconstriction with most larger vessels of the heart/lungs, but some vessels can have more Beta2 receptors on them and do the opposite by dialating, which may be the case with capillary beds in the skin, IDK for sure.

The exact pathway, I'm not sure of. Not sure if it's even completely known yet. But it's definitely a neural response from the level of T2. The higher test is setting of a chain reaction of chemicals that can cause the facial reddening whether sitting at rest or during stress.

You can also stimulate this response by doing the valsalva movement when you squat or press or lift anything heavy or even just sitting and doing the valsalava. It's all sympathetic stimulation and causes the face to turn red.

Hope that makes sense.

I'm thinking more in that direction as well whitefall

Definitely has nothing to do with blood pressure. I don't get where people keep coming from with the seeing red is caused by high blood pressure. You can NOT see high blood pressure on the outside.

I'm as red as they come and I've suffered from (too) low blood pressure most of my life.

high BP can cause a flushed face look bro. i dont have anything to back it up but i have spoke with more than 1 doc about this. and it always came up cuz my flushed red face. i am not saying that is the only cause or even that this is his cause but i am saying.... yes, it does

Symptoms

In most people, high blood pressure causes no symptoms, despite the coincidental occurrence of certain symptoms that are widely, but erroneously, attributed to high blood pressure: headaches, nosebleeds, dizziness, a flushed face, and fatigue. People with high blood pressure may have these symptoms, but the symptoms occur just as frequently in people with normal blood pressure.

i guess it depends. it can go either way bro

Late-stage Primary Hypertension

Primary hypertension not only has no symptoms in the early stages but has no cause that we can determine. Yes, there are a host of symptoms that are popularly associated with high blood pressure but they occur no more frequently than in the general population. Therefore that makes this association invalid. These symptoms include headache, nosebleeds, dizziness, flushed/red face, fatigue, stress and a feeling of inner pressure. There is no correlation other than chance.

Do not assume that any symptoms are high blood pressure symptoms. Do not rely on the absence of symptoms to conclude that you don’t have elevated pressure. This could be a serious mistake.

ok so as i look more into this every place i look .... i can not find a for sure yes or no so i will shut up about it . no disrespect intended

Let's leave these things to those educated in it

Your High Blood Pressure Questions Answered - Facial Flushing

Question

Can your face flush or get hot and red from your blood pressure?

Answer

Facial flushing occurs when blood vessels in the face dilate. The red, burning face can occur unpredictably or in response to certain triggers such as:

*
Sun exposure
*
Emotional stress
*
Hot weather
*
Alcohol
*
Spicy foods
*
Exercise
*
Wind
*
Hot baths
*
Cold weather
*
Hot drinks
*
Skin-care products

Emotional stress, exposure to heat or hot water, alcohol and exercise can also raise your blood pressure temporarily. So you might have facial flushing while your blood pressure is higher than usual, but the one does not cause the other.

Some blood pressure-lowering drugs – including vasodilators, alpha channel blockers and tamoxifen – list facial flushing as a potential side effect. Talk to your doctor if you’re concerned about side effects of your medications.

High blood pressure has no symptoms. The only way to tell if you have high blood pressure is for a doctor to diagnose it after a period of monitoring.
