What is the best way to lose body fat and build muscle and strength at the same time. I was considering a low to mid carbohydrate diet with high protein and fat. For training I think a 6-12 rep range would be good. Right? What is you guys thought. I'm new to this forum and exercising in general so I'm not the most well knowledgeable guy when it comes to fitness. Thanks

Suboptimal. Pick one and go with it
Majority of people spin their wheels doing both

I would google "lean gains" and read up on intermittent fasting or "IF"....I use it in the spring time to drop fat fast...just don't go overboard lowering calories or you'll burn up muscle too I've found

But give it a read and see if it's for you....works great I think

It's all subjective. To be honest there's no cookie cutter plan for everyone. To drop weight, everyone knows you need to lower your calories; To gain, increase.

What you're trying to do is known as recomp, cut fat and gain muscle at the same time, and it ain't easy.

What does your diet/training/supplementation regimen look like right now? What are your stats/ training experience?

If you are new to exercising, it is not that difficult to lose body fat and gain muscle at the same time - this naturally happens with many who are new to lifting weights. I would keep your calories around maintenance.

Your ability to recomposition (lose fat and gain muscle at the same time) will diminish over time (usually a few months), and you'll eventually be better off picking one goal (gain muscle or lose fat) and focusing on that for a period of time.

Do a keto diet and shorten your time between sets during training

More cardio and more protein. Cardio to burn the fat and protein so your body doesn't feed off muscle just extra fat

If your new to training your body will automatically do a bit of a recomp.imo it's best to pick a goal work on that for 6-12months or longer if needed. A Recomp is different for everyone. You'll have to play around with it calories in vs calories out what works for me keeping in mind that I use anabolics, Is eating above maintenance calories on training days on none training days I eat below maintenance. You can't really use the scale as your weight should only go up or down by 1-2 lbs in general you want it to stay where you are weight wise as long as you can you have to use your eyes and get your bf%check to make sure its fat your losing,it requires a bit of patience. Good luck
