ok so a couple of weeks ago i enlsted the help of Phil. its been 2 weeks training with him and on his diet. at first i was alittle confused about his methodology and diet practices. i never told him but at first i started to lose weight and started freaking out because thats the last thing i want to do. on his diet i felt like crap for 2 days...no energy, never felt satisfied. well....at about the 4th day of his diet i started feeling better than i ever have. more energy in and out of the gym, more alert, sleeping better. and all of a sudden after losing 6 lbs in the first week, by the second week i put the 6 lbs back on plus 2 more! ive taken steroids that havent given me results as fast as Phil has. bodyfat is down and bodyweight is up. and my favorite part is strength is through the roof. one lift went from 315 to 365 with only 2 less reps! there are alot of great trainers on this board, and alot of great sponsors. but the best bang for your buck is only in one place. HIRE PHIL HERNON! Thanks Phil.

As a young kid I remember watching Phil at the 95 USA's and thinking to myself that he was superman and what I wanted to look like. Of course I was only 15 at the time but phil knows what he is doing as his passion for the sport shows through on every client he trains as they all turn out in the best shape of thier lives.

even as i post this im going back and forth with phil about a problem im having. this problem is simply something i dont like about my body. in the past 1/2 hour weve probably exchanged 10 emails. i mean he gets back to you in minutes. the way i explained my problem was worded poorly, and even though it was my fault with how i described my issue Phils first response was concern for my health and well being. i mean this guy barely knows me and voices concern, not on a message board where everyone can see it, in a private email that noone else wil read. that shows you the character and integrity of the person your dealing with. he has a genuine concern for his clients.
 
You've helped me tremendously too Phil!! I'm start to get Very Very lean! Starting to see veins in weird places where I never thought I had any! :) -StOrY
 
All I hear about Phil is good stuff, I can't wait to hire him when I get some extra money from x-mas.

I have a few threads on how well things are going with Phil thus far and I can't say enough about the guy. Down 16 pounds in 8 weeks...and have gained strength in the form of adding reps or weight in each workout throughout this entire process!

Im with Phil too and he will vouch that i was confused too with the methodoly but after a few, actually quite a few we sorted it out. I took him on 5weeks into a late decision to compete 8 week diet...Guess what, got into the best condition ever, felt the best ever during a contest diet and barely lost any strength...

Now im post show by about 5-6 weeks, and still following the methods with things switched round abit and im the leanest ive been at this weight i am now. Had an initial post show water rebound, but this wouldve been down to me as ate and ate and took my wife away to Ireland for a weekend. The water didnt stay on long and even though thats gone the weight has stayed the same.
Im not looking to lose, but to gain as much muscle/size as i can whilst lean bulking.
Its like Phil told me, stick to the plan and see what happens...i guess im beginning to see.

I couldnt recommend him enough...:)
 
I highly recommend Phil even if you have no plans of competing. A lot of people cringe when they hear the word diet but Phil's is easy to do. The training is simply great.

I'm seeing results and it has gotten me excited about working out again which is something I haven't been in a long time.

Phil needs to write a book.

Phil, you and Shelby need to team up and write a book. I am very interested in your techniques and methods, but don't have the time or money to go the direct training route, but a book would be awesome. I'm sure you've thought about this, think it will happen?

It's not expensive as one would think and it's definitely worth the investment.
 
update.....its been a few days since i talked to phil. not much to communicate with him about right now. since i started working with him my bodyfat is down by 3% puts me right about 9%. and the best part is my weight is up by 4 lbs.
 
Its worth me adding that ive wasted many years following routines from magazines and also thinking if i do more its going to be better. Now following Phils guidance i realise how wrong i was!!
