getting rid of infections

has anyone here got any experience with treating a reccuring bacterial/fungal infection,i had a wisdom tooth removed in the hospital i year ago and have not been right ever since! i.e. keep feeling ill and some localised pain in jaw and also almost continuasly swollen gland in neck(same side as tooth was cut out)? just thought if i dont ask i wont know kind of thing, i appreciate its not the most exciting thread ever but my searching on net has not realy turned much up, apart from snake oil type sales ploys praying on the desperate, most promising thing i found so far has been allicin which is from garlic and supposed to treat bacteria/fungus and pretty much all types of infections. thanks in advance, rich.

I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed over a year ago and my jaw still hurts to this day. I had dry socket so bad I was tempted to shoot myself in the foot just to transfer the pain somewhere else. Worst pain ever. I'm not sure if this will help with your infection, but if you still have the hole in your jaw you can drip clove oil into it. It's potent shit and I think it deadens the nerves or something. Trust me, it works. You might try it. You can buy it at GNC or other herb places. I'm telling you the shit saved me when my dry socket was really bad.

doctors.......what if you are allergic to other antibiotics?

r u allergic to amoxicillan or penicillin? they are both most widely ranged prescribed antibiotics, very verstatile

As far as antibiotics are concerned you need to get yourself on Clindamycin HCL 300 mgs. 3x daily for 7 days.Clindamycin is specifically prescribed for BACTERIAL tooth infections.See your Dentist or Doctor.

thanks for all replys very much appreciated. also forgot to mention that i have seen 2 doctors 3 dentists and 2 specialists ! my mistake, yeah just getting a bit desperate ive also seen a homeopath and couple other alternative types but have faith in this place also, thanks again guys, rich

I encourage you not to give up on the doctors just yet. They should have new info, i.e., what didn't work that the last doctor gave you. Do not take no for an answer. Infections could travel in your bloodstream to places you just don't want them...like your heart.

have your dentist take an xray of that area. have them take a periapical radiograph of the area that is bothering you. a root fragment may still be in there or that the wisdom teeth may have affected the neighboring teeth and only now is showing signs that something is wrong. i dont know what your case is but let me know. and dont take antibiotics just to take, make sure it is an infection. as for as wisdom teeth go, i usually refer my wisdom teeth cases to the oral surgeon. these guys are much more capable of removing wisdoms. i could do it but wisdom teeth is just a different animal. i am a dental professional. like i tell my patients, im here to help you, not hurt you.any questions, just post here and ill check and reply. take care.

thankyou Madscientist! i have seen a dental specialist and had radiograph and MRI and nothings been found ive had second opinion also and still no joy ive been thinking along lines of some weird infection from the hospital? but its been a year now,it has eased a bit(pain) but have felt ill on and off for several months. seems like its all related, anyway thanks for taking the time and nice to know your there to ask questions, rich.

Richie, you can try swishing and gargling with peroxide several times a day for a few days. This has worked for a few people I know with cavaties. I would just let the peroxide sit in your mouth for a few minutes to soak in.

Also, oregano oil is a strong antifungal. It's sort of expensive, but works well, especially the P73 brand. I would drop that straight on the problem area, as well as consume it.

I think a good liquid probiotic held in your mouth for a few minutes prior to swallowing would help as well. Something like this is good... http://www.nextag.com/natures-life-liquid-pro-96/shop-html

There was just a study done on the effects of pure unfiltered honey that showed that honey killed the antibiotic resistant strains of bacteria in something like 67% of the cases.

wow thanks for that, will def look into natural side of things from now on.ive just started on "allicin" and take a few other natural supps also, so much stuff i wasnt even aware of out there! thanks again.
