Hi, I have been using hgh, low dose (1/2 to 3/4 unit 5 times a week), for almost two years, with a one time 2 1/2 month break this past fall. I am a female in my 50s (you would never know it to look at me though),
I had previous health issues with low bone mass, osteopenia, history of bone fractures, also mood problems - chronic depression. Also significant hair thinning.
Since starting the hgh I have not broken a bone in spite of a couple bad falls, i have more hair, especially along hairline, my mood and sense of well being is improved. Sleep is deeper (although I still struggle with insomnia, a lifetime issue that goes with mood issue), my skin is more taut, my vision is better, i seem to recover quickly if catch anything (which i generally dont). One of the coolest benefits: improved memory, both short and long term, and general cognitive improvement.
When i went off it, after a month was a real wake up call because i felt i was losing all these benefits, even my vision quickly worsened! I promptly when back on it.
I have an rx from an anti aging doc here in san diego area, and he prescribed it after blood work showed fairly low igf levels.
there was some annoying joint pain (esp with activity like running) at the beginning, and some edema, but that went away.
I'm now probably going to try a peptide combination in hopes of rejuvenating my pituitary a little and saving some $. From what happened when i quit the hgh (i use omnitrope by the way, the cheapest kind i could find), im afraid i may not have much pituitary power left.
