Girlfriend bulking for NPC bikini competition, AAS suggestions?

Hey everybody. My girlfriend did her first NPC bikini show last month and she has come a very long way, but wants to improve a few things for her next show on October 28th. Judges feedback was that her upper body is excellent, but she needs to work on her glutes. She's turning 40 in September and over the last year has dramatically improved her body by following macros with a nutrition coach and absolutely killing it in the gym. Her nutrition is on point. She's currently on a bulking phase and will continue to do so over the next 12-14 weeks, followed by a contest prep cut of 10-12 weeks depending on where she's at by then. She asked me to help her do some research on the best steroid for her to use to help with her bulk. I know the go to is Anavar, but I have heard of women also using Winstrol and others for this purpose. Obviously we want to limit negative side effects. We have a few questions and we're hoping to get some good opinions here on the best course of action to take............

1. While on a caloric surplus, will a steroid help build more muscle while limiting fat gains? Normally when she bulks, she adds fat and was hoping to limit this as much as possible while taking something that will allow her to gain muscle more easily.

2. What's the best steroid for a female to use while bulking?

3. What is a good dose of said steroid.

4. Would Anavar at 5mg be ideal in this situation?

5. What about when she turns it around to a cutting phase for the 10-12 weeks before her show? Would the same steroid be used in during the caloric deficit?

Basically just looking for some suggestions. Hoping I provided enough information.

Her nutrition is dialed in and her workouts are well written an executed. It's amazing what she has accomplished so far and really wants to take it up a notch for the show in 24 weeks. Her problem areas are that she needs fuller glutes and that she has excess body fat in the hamstring area and inner thighs. She has come a long way in these areas, but they are still lacking compared to the rest of her physique.

Please advise.
thank you so much

If it's bikini division then she won't need any. Have you ever been to a bikini show? Save the anavar money and buy her a set of fake tits. She'll likely place higher.

Everyone has pointed to the obvious, gear use is simply not needed, or warranted in this case.

She is brand new to the competition scene, she will be 40 in the coming months...There is just no need.
How did she place in her first show?
Too many competitors look to improve in just a few short weeks, or in only a couple of months, when there is no actual base to improve upon. This is something that takes years. Yes there a few small things one could potentially to do improve a specific look/cosmetics, or conditioning when doing shows close together. Also, do not forget stage presence, posing, confidence on stage...this is huge for all divisions, but especially bikini. However, dramatic improvements, they require time in the gym, under the bar, progression, and consistent nutrition. Never drugs, especially if new to training, competing, etc.

How long has she been training? and by training, not what you see most "bikini" competitors post on social media, or on YouTube, but how much time has she actually spent training? What is her actual training age?
Is she progressing in the gym?

Is she one who has come from a period of being overweight, slightly overweight, or even an appearance, body composition that looked damn good, but felt that dieting for a show would be the "end-all-cure-all" for any self-doubt regarding her body, confidence, self-esteem?

What's this have to do with the price of tea in china?

You would be surprised. There can be much more involved for many when it comes to the "why" someone wants to, or thinks they want to compete; the same applies to PED use as well.

Yes, when I stated that her macros/nutrition is dialed in that's just what I meant. She works with a nutrition/prep coach that has her eating properly wen bulking and cutting. Food/nutrition is not her problem

Boobs are not a judging criteria in the bikini division. but to more accuratly respond to your comment. She is already "enhanced" and they are spectacular :)

Over the last 16 months she has lost almost 50 pounds. It is truly amazing what she has accomplished in that time. She eats on point now and she trains harder than most people in the gym. She has found new life in the fitness/nutrition world. Once she got in shape, she decided she wanted to train for a show and now that she has stood on that stage like she belonged there her new goal is to place in a show. This woman is determined and very motivated to perform well. She has embraced this world and completely transformed herself. She has been realistically training for 16 months now. Before that she was a casual gym person. She wants this badly. The judges feedback was that the upper body was perfection, but she needs to catch up the lower body to match it. She's hot as hell now. Just can't seem to get that booty to shape up. She's had kids and like you said is 40. Back of her upper legs is her other problem spot. But other than that she is perfection.

Awesome! Glad to hear she is doing well and enjoying it. When the competition bug bites, it can bite hard. Always keep health, longevity, and overall wellbeing at the top of the the priority list.

It is always much easier to simply say hold off and put in another year, at least, before including anything. Also encourage her to learn as much as she can when it comes to these topics. However, when the time comes, however soon that may or may not be,

1. While on a caloric surplus, will a steroid help build more muscle while limiting fat gains? Normally when she bulks, she adds fat and was hoping to limit this as much as possible while taking something that will allow her to gain muscle more easily.
Yes they can, but the overall context of her nutrition plan will always reign supreme. How does she typically increase calories?

2. What's the best steroid for a female to use while bulking?
3. What is a good dose of said steroid.
4. Would Anavar at 5mg be ideal in this situation?
You are heading into common ground here, you're on the right track for the situation in question. Anything can be used for a particular goal, individual response, manipulating water, electrolyte, and macronutrients will dictate the cosmetic affect. Also, personal health history when providing guidance towards women, men too, but without a doubt women (e.g. PCOS, PMS, PMDD, endometriosis, thyroid disease, clotting disorders, contraceptive use/history, etc)

5. What about when she turns it around to a cutting phase for the 10-12 weeks before her show? Would the same steroid be used in during the caloric deficit?
Are you intending that she run an "off season" cycle and then head directly into her contest prep, back to back? You will recieve many opinions on this, but with the compound and dosage in question, this is not as uncommon as many may think

Could this be a needing "fuller glutes" issue simply based off of the need for improved conditioning? In some cases, just a little less body fat can do wonders. If lower body conditioning is a problem, cellulite, loose skin, "trouble areas", chances are that the key to improving these areas will be to stay leaner for a longer period of time. Yes, this may sound counterproductive for her next show that you guys have planned, but will benefit her a show one year from now. If it is an overall development issue, then I would still recommend heading into a true off season in a much leaner state, yes it's tough, but will pay dividends in the future

Bikini is absolutely a model division. Tits and ass - a tight one that will be pushed into judges faces.
Congratulations to your gf on her transformation, but to focus on drugs at this point is getting it all twisted. Shes made a lot of changes, and at 40, the glutes and upper hamstrings will naturally be the problem area. Jiggle and loose skin.... that needs to be filled up with new muscle derived from a consistent and clean way of eating and training. Although anavar is common and relatively harmless, shes a beginner. Hasnt even begun to have come to the point of cutting corners and running health risks.... like thyroid issues, metabolic issues, body dysmorphia, hormone imblance and virulization.

Keep it in perspective. Its bikini. Shes a beginner. Presentation, suit color, nails, hair color, timing that flashy smile just right, flipping her hair, and being able to handle stilletos like a pro stripper will earn a higher place than a square jaw and a bulked up figure

Squats and more squats followed glute raises.

Her butt is probably "weak" because she never trained it due to the fat being there it was already to big. Now that the fat is gone you can see how little muscle she has there.

I would not suggest drugs for a bikini athlete but it seems she is going to take whatever route will get here to where she needs to be. 5mg is where I'd start , 10mg a day of legit anavar is plenty to add muscle where she trains it.

What does her current diet look like?

thank you. She is considering bumping up a class to figure after this show. Her body may be more suited for figure and she is really starting to enjoy the type of training required for that class.

thank you. she is currently doing macros under the guidance of a nutrition coach. She is starting to bulk and over the last two weeks has in fact made pretty good gains in her glutes. They are filling in a bit and have even lifted. Pretty remarkable the difference from a month ago, with the biggest changes coming over the last two weeks. She is also getting her workout routines from a coach as well that is targeting her glutes and hamstrings. She's improving and I'm sure in the next 14 weeks of her bulk she will have some great glutes to work with when she diets back down during show prep.
I'm not sure what her current macros are, but she has them dialed in and makes the right choices within her macro nutrient allotment.

let me see, GF lost 50 lbs recently and has only been training seriously for 16 months.. and you guys want to go right to drugs wit no real time spent in the gym..

What does her coach say? does the coach know you want to put her on? what and how will that effect her current diet under this coach?

Bit of advice (which no one ever takes)... stop thinking DRUGS and think diet and training, have her do the show then IF she continues to train hard after she wins or very likley lose's (sorry hardly anyone wins the first show they enter) then the next show discuss this topic.

This is her second show coming up in October. Believe me, I'm not putting her on anything. This is all her. Her training and nutrition are spot on. Coach knows she's on the var. not something he recommended, but now that he knows she's on it I'm sure he will make any adjustments he sees fit. She's been making great gains the last couple weeks, especially in her glutes. She looks amazing.
