Just gave blood yesterday. Felt like shit all night and feeling weak and drained this morning

You are not suppose to work out for at least 24 hours. It drains you some.

Definately did not work out or do much of anything...

Why felt stronger ? lol after giving the blood to others, dizzy and asleep..
weaker,weaker

not train after giving blood

I squatted later that night, 10 hrs. Very dizzy, weak and cut the workout short; never again.

My strength is usually fine. But my endurance can be down when doing aerobics. But taking iron supplements has made it so I can't even tell I have donated.

It never seemed to bother me. I usually go donate during my lunch break, and train the next morning around 4:00 am. But I do eat pretty good the rest of the day after giving blood.

Here I am donating to keep Crit manageable and you’re supplementing your iron!

I train in the early morning before work so I do what rmtt stated above. I'll typically donate around lunch break, then drink plenty of fluids and eat well the rest of the day and evening and then train the next morning same as usual. I haven't noticed any decrease in strength or endurance levels utilizing this system.

Donating blood definetly drains your energy. You may even feel alittle light headed. Always hydrate, eat, and relax afterwards.

I usually feel weaker... I will eat a lot all day after I donate and wait till the next day before training again...

If I wanted to train or have any type of physical activity the day of donation I always do it in the morn, with donation in late afternoon, the following day when I have trained I felt no difference.

Gave blood for the first time in years last week. Didn't work out until next day.

Strength seemed a bit weaker but not bad. Where I felt a significant change was cardio. Did a bit of research and since my red bloodcells were high, when I gave blood it made it go down (good thing) but that lowering also doesn't allow as much oxygen into the body as you are used to. That's why athletes train at high altitudes to increase their red blood cells.

Just what I read and seemed to explain my situation anyway.

Still have to give my first donation. I keep saying it but can't find the time. Maybe I do it at the hospital during my wife's chemo run?
