Growth Hormone and glomerular hyperfiltration in the kidneys, is this an issue for us ? (possible higher GFR values on tests)

Exogenous growth hormone has been reported to induce glomerular hyperfiltration in the kidneys, in varying degrees,

meaning, among other things, that blood test results for kidney-related issues, including a GFR test, could prove inaccurate and unreliable, due to the GFR-increasing effect the exogenous administration of Human Growth Hormone might give, through the mechanism of increased glomerular hyperfiltration:

To me this is still a valid issue, expecially since many of use must perform regular blood tests, including kidney function tests (and GFR test), and rely on GFR results, to give us an indication of our general kidney health.

Such results could be falsified if you're on HGH, and/or GH peptides maybe:

Now I wonder why has this topic never been brought up before, maybe I'm overthinking here.

What do you think ?

Thanks

I have been using GH for several years. I also do regular blood tests. Creatinine, GFR and cystatin C are always fine without change.

Not me. Creatinine is always a little high and this, lowers eGFR.
2-4iu’s of gray tops GH 5-7 days/week for 4+ years.

4 years straight with no breaks?

Yes sir. I figure w the Chinese bs I’m taking it’s more like 2 IU’s/day (lol) so that’s my HRT

Pretty much the same here, i can see on my blood tests that when i raise GH dose my eGFR goes down a little i think its because of the water retention from the GH.

The best bet is to just get a cystatin C test at least once a year.

Ok, thank you,

however would you really know, in the case taking exogenous GH would inflate your actual GFR numbers ?

It's just a thought I have here.

It's important to me that the kidneys are still fine. I do blood regularly and no change after including GH ..... Off topic, Cystatin C is a better indicator than GFR.
