I remember a thread quite a while back where BIGA stated the finasteride(proppecia,proscar) will help with both of your problems aka less thinning of your hair on your head and reduce unwanted body hair on back and shoulders. Dont remember which board or the thread or I would post the address. Maybe pm BIGA. I also vaguely remember using certain aas with finasteride maybe counter productive, sorry I dont have all the specifics but hopefully this will get ya started with your research.

if you are telling me that there is a pill i can take to get rid of back hair and sholder hair i will try and test anything. i have had electrolosis, and laser, and it still fucking grows. the only thing not having some sort of hair, either peachfuzz or coarse hair is the palms of my hands and feet. haha. makes for a long time shaving, so if it is true that proscar/propecia really works please let me know, and oh yea, im not losing ANY hair on my head but could stand to lose some on my back and sholders!

I'm 40... have had a thinning thing since I was 25. I've taken this stuff off and on since then. Propecia, after an entire year... twice, just didn't do much of anything. Minoxidil, same thing... and it messed up my scalp.

Best soluction: I wear a baseball cap, and my wife shaves my back. Works great.

There other chemicals I think are worth taking (but not for baldness)... these aren't.

I also use spirolactone(SP) topical lotion, Nizoral shampoo also.

I just let my back and shoulder hair grow in the winter time...keeps me warm! As far as thinning on the top...just shave it bald like everyone else.
