This question is for neone thats around 185 lbs, and for those who r bigger now,, when u were 185 lbs. what were ur average lifts (approx). I know it will vary a lot but just want to get an idEA of how i compare.

Lets say

bench
squats
Deadlift
military press
laterral raises
bent over rows
dumbell rows

any other u want to add.

I know it depends on bf, also specially on form. but i m assuming most people use average form, where its not super strict but u r not swinging either.
 
depend quite a bit on height to think 5'5" vs 6'4"
 
i think its more dependedn on weight than height. i have usually seen 185 lbs 6 feet guy lift similar to a 185 lbs 5 feet 8 in guys.
 
as mentioned in another post a couple of weeks back.....bone structure, density, connective tissue....and most importantly(IMO) CNS are bigger factors than body weight. I know a guy who benched 400 at 175.....that's just plain tenacity there. A tough person is going to be able to push more than a sissy of the same weight. So i guess that says pain tolerance is a factor too.
 
Lol. ok i understand it will vary a lot and i do realize there will be outliers, like a 175 lb person benching 400, but would u mind posting YOUR lifts and stats.
 
I will try, please remember I have not been 185 in thirty years. I remember benching 300 for the first time in high school and I was about 195, definately under 200lb and about 6'1. Have no memory of my other "max" lifts as I did not do maxes on anything else.
 
It has been a bit but here goes roughly what my lifts were when i was 185.

For the record i am like 5'7"ish(meaning maybe a little under but 5'7 sounds better than 5'6"):D

bench - 275 for reps
squats - 405 for a few reps
Deadlift - 315 for a few reps
military press 135 for a few reps
laterral raises 30 with good form for a few
bent over rows 135 with a few
dumbell rows 50lb db's

These are about the best i can remember. Not very impressive i know but i was pretty young at the time.
 
Weightlifting is kinda You against Yourself...ongoing isn't it...?:confused:
 
i really can't post mine....i was a sophmore in HS when I was 185.....and certainly didn't have the strength to match at the time. I was 220 by the time i graduated.
