I have a friend that works for Liberty Mutual and they are trying to raise money for the fire department in his area. Here's the message he sent me

I am actively participating in the BeFireSmart competition for Eden Prairie.

There are ten $10,000 grants being given to fire departments throughout the country by Liberty Mutual.

If the city of Eden Prairie receives the most completed quizzes, they will win one of those grants.

Would each of you please take 5 minutes and complete the safety quiz?

It is important that you choose the Eden Prairie MN fire department as the fire department that gets credited for your quiz.

Only question I got wrong was the leading cause of fires during the holidays. I would of thought it'd be holiday lights (coming from CA, and not needing a heater in the Winter.)

Thanks a lot guys. I have friends and family that are fire fighters and you'd be surprised how much neglect there is with their equipment because they don't have the budget to fix it correctly.

My daughter is a volunteer fire fighter in up state New York just finished her state certification to enter a burning building and is working the aftermath of hurricane Irene.
