High BP
Big Chef gave you the best possible answer. However, some docs even cardiologists dont stay current with meds and treatment. Also, most docs treat very unhealthy people who dont exercise or eat well. That being said, and many treatment options available... try to do what you may know to be right such as what BC recommended. Also, if you"ve never had a a cardio stress test with thallium it wouldn't hurt. This of course with regular blood work as well. They wont do a comprehensive hormonal panel unless you give them reason to suspect you've been tinkering around with hormones. Perhaps a TSH for thyroid, and t4 at most. Recently my (family practice) doc took me off the meds my cardiologist prescribed for a beta blocker that has made a huge difference. The name of the drug is Biostolic. It has made a dramatic difference in both my heart rate and bp. But again, everyone is different. Get a thorough physical first and let a professional diagnose you and follow up. Best of luck.
