Hey ladies, how many times do you train with weights per week? How about cardio?

Hey ladies, how many times do you train with weights per week? How about cardio?

With weights it just depends on the training split. I like training 2 days on, 1 day off. Some times I can get away with training 3 days on, 1 day off, but I start getting run down after a while.

Cardio...depends on the season. :D I like to do some cardio in my offseason just for heart health.

i usually am training 2 on 1 off.. and i love cardio.. i know im sick lol

Do you do any track work? My friends and I hit the track once a week to keep cardio fun. We do some bleachers, sprints, plyo work, jump rope, etc..

When are you planning on competing again?

I'm with you on the cardio. I LOVE IT!:D I do at least 45 minutes a day except Sundays because Dusty gets pissed if I don't take a day off.

Thanks for the backup Buff. I can't wait to show her this:D

Right now I'm lifting 4 days a week and cardo 3 days. My training schedule is a little goofy right now because I'm practically living out of my car. I'm spending every other night at my bf's place who lives in another city 20 mile from me. This is temporary until we finish renovations on our new place.

My normal routine is lifting 5 days and cardo 4 days... two days off. I usually split my leg workout... quads & abs one day and hams & calves another day. This adds an extra day of lifting, but I've seen a lot of improvements since I start doing this.

I use to do a 8 day training cycle that was very effective, but weekends got too hectic, so I had to go back to 7 days. It looked like this:

Day 1: chest & tr's
Day 2: back & bi's
day 3: off
day 4: quads & abs
day 5: shoulders & traps
day 6: off
day 7: off
day 8: hams & calves

I just got back into my blast of DC training. It looks like I'll be training 3x a week with weights (in the past we've done 4 x a week training, modified DC). I'm trying to incorporate cardio 3x a week in the off-season.

No, I do not do any track work.

I mix up my lifting split every 8 weeks, I can go from a full body 3x a week with a powerlifting style w/o to a 3 day on 1 day off w/ single body part per w/o w/high volume. I have 4 programs that I use every 8 weeks so that I end up taking about a 1/2 a year to do the same program twice.

I do a few high intensity and a few low intensity cardio w/o per week. I've been doing a lot of body weight movements like burpee's for some of my cardio.

I stretch or do yoga for an hour and a half daily as well.
