How long will unconstituted peps last in the fridge?

Hello,

I've used the search button and found may different opinions on the storage of ghrp-2 and mod grf 1-29 both unconstituted and reconstituted. It appears that the best way to store them is to freeze the dry powder when its not being used and to refrigerate the liquid peps.

But what is the shelf life for dry powder peps in the refrigerator?

I want to minimize the chances of my roomate finding my peptides and would like to keep both dry and liquid ghrp-2 and mod grf 1-29 in the fridge which i have in my bedroom.

How long will they last in the fridge?

I've done a little checking on this, and the answer is: it depends.

The general answer is 3 to 4 years or so for lyophized peptides stored at -20 degrees C (-4 degrees F). Storing at even lower temperatures will extend the shelf life. Of course, a peptide will not suddenly become useless after that period. What will occur is a gradual loss of potency.

Note, however, that normal home refrigerator-freezers don't get that cold (maybe to -15 degrees C, if you're lucky). More importantly, normal home freezers usually have automatic freeze-defrost cycles. Continual thawing and re-freezing will damage peptides over time, so it's difficult to say for how long peptides will stay good if placed in a typical home freezer.

Best would be to store in a cheap, manual-defrost freezer capable of -20 degrees C. Here's a small (1.6 cubic feet) one that I just ordered:

Lower-temperature freezers get expensive fast.

Another good thing to be aware of: Moisture/humidity is the enemy of peptides. Make sure you store your peptides along with a good desiccant. Here's one that's inexpensive and will last forever (you need to periodically bake in an oven to re-constitute):
