So my boss who is very active and 73 years old just ruptured his Achilles tendon playing pickleball.... he just had surgery Friday and is looking to mend as quickly as a 73 year old can..... His doctor (super cool from what he told me) is all for him taking peps to improve healing.... also he's pushing on my boss to take HGH as well...... I'm thinking BPC-157 + TB500.... just not sure how much to take for aggressively trying to heal up an injury...... thoughts or suggestions???

The trials done on TB500 use a wide range from 0.5mcg/kg of bodyweight up to 16,000mcg/kg and we’re done in 4 week cycles.

Most TB500 comes in a 5mg so for an acute injury that could easily be a bottle a week if trying to be aggressive, but feel 2.5mg a week is sufficient IMO as it’s systemic and builds in the body.

BPC: for an acute injury I would consider a 4 week cycle of 500-750mcg for the first two weeks localized and then 250-500mcg for the last two weeks.

I’d also consider adding in Copper Peptide as it increases collagen synthesis and fibroblast along with overall healing and driving down inflammation. Localized at 1-3mg per day for 2-4 weeks. You can do more, but not sure it’s necessary IMO.

Bpc dose is daily not weekly right?

I just had a septoplasty, vestibular reduction and maxillary sinus scoops with laser ablation in the sinus and nostrils. I took 2mg of bpc and 3mg of tb500 daily for recovery.
Result was awesome. I have no idea what the dose did in comparison to smaller dosing but I will copy that for any surgery I have to have in the future.

btw, I was also taking a 1/3 of a bottle of TP's black daily, too

I’ve used 250-500 mcg of each for various strains/pills with really good results!

Recently I’ve been using 500mcg/day of BPC along with ART (Active Release Technique) and my tennis elbow is almost completely gone in a couple of weeks!

Bumping to avoid a redundant thread- I’ve been using 1mg twice per day post-umbilical hernia repair, right around the belly button where the incision was done and mesh installed. (Also using 10iu GH and a short course of anavar, so multiple things at play here).

Healing has been extremely fast. Granted, I always heal like wolverine, and I have been very on top of good recovery habits- extra sleep, 10k steps per day, same clean diet + extra added fats (per Justin’s usual orders for recovering from injury or illness).

6 days post-op today and I was back for a chest & shoulders session with very little modification. Just opted for a machine press over DBs because I’m still wary of picking up heavy DBs off the ground. Also did stairmaster HIIT yesterday and today.

Tomorrow will be a better test of the area as it’s a back day, but right now it feels like I’ll be able to have a very solid session, modified to avoid really heavy bracing. I think I’ll be back to leg training Saturday, 12 days post-op.

TLDR 2mg per day BPC pinned locally has been f’in awesome.

I swear it makes me leaner, too…but I also kept activity high and reduced cals a bit on the days I took off training, so it’s hard to say.

Here is the protocol that I used after having surgery on my foot. I healed over a month sooner after having the same surgery on the other foot two years prior. My ortho MD was impressed how quickly I recovered. This protocol along with low dose GH......

TB 500 and BPC-157 Cycle for Total Body Repair
This protocol utilizes a total of 55mg TB-500 (11 x 5mg vials) and 20mg BPC 157 (4 x 5mg vials) with a 3 week loading phase followed by a 5 week maintenance phase. Note that the BPC-157 dosage amounts are in micrograms (mcg).

Loading Phase
Week 1 - Week 3:
Monday: TB-500 5mg / BPC-157 500mcg
Tuesday & Wednesday: BPC-157 500mcg
Thursday: TB-500 5mg / BPC-157 500mcg
Friday, Saturday & Sunday: BPC-157 500mcg
Maintenance Phase
Week 4 - Week 8:
Monday: TB-500 2.5mg / BPC-157 250mcg
Tuesday & Wednesday: BPC-157 250mcg
Thursday: TB-500 2.5mg / BPC-157 250mcg
Friday, Saturday & Sunday: BPC-157 250mcg

Loading Phase: In weeks 1 through 3, the total weekly dose of 10mg TB-500 ensures a rapid initial buildup of Thymosin Beta 4 for immediate healing and recovery as well a weekly total dose of 3.5mg (3,500mcg) BPC-157 to further stimulate recovery and provide added support for joint and connective tissue (tendon and ligament) healing.

Maintenance Phase: Week 4 begins the maintenance portion of the Total Body Repair cycle with a total weekly dose of 5mg TB-500 and a weekly total dose of 1.75mg (1,750mcg) BPC-157. This continues through week 8 and the end of the cycle.

Again, this cycle is a guideline based on real world results

@d4ve, how was the surgery itself? I have an umbilical hernia as well that causes severe pain occasionally. I’ve had it for years now and was thinking abt surgery recently.

For me, the surgery was a cakewalk. My hernia was maybe 2-3 years old and hadn't caused me any pain. It was just severely limiting my ability to control my midsection, and if I let it linger it probably would have become dangerous in training. Tiny incision under my belly button, mesh put in place...fingers crossed, I think I'll be back to training legs in some capacity 12 days post-op and probably back to it full tilt within another week or two.

I can't say whether it'll be the same if your hernia has progressed to the point of being painful. I know concurrent inguinal hernias really complicate things, so if yours is "only" umbilical, my guess is it'll still be a straightforward procedure and relatively fast recovery. Can't say for sure, though 🤷‍♂️

As long as funds and access to a good surgeon allow, I think you'll want to get it done sooner than later.

Thanks for the reply sir! Guess I need to get a consult and take it from there…

no tb-500 or ghk-cu?

Nope. I know they might be good additions...I actually remember watching a Vigorous Steve video about connective tissue health and surgery recovery in which he included both. But I've always just used BPC for small injuries, and everyone I spoke to who had this surgery had a great recovery with "only" BPC and GH.

GH, BPC, Anavar, and staying on the gear I was already taking...feels like adding even more stuff would have been min-maxing when I'm already getting 90+% of the boost in recovery speed. Beyond those, I assumed sleep, diet, and other good recovery habits would have a much greater effect.

From my research on the subject(reading) and listening to people like Evan C., I would suggest 700-1000mcg BPC-157 daily and 5-7mg (or 7.5 to make it easy) of TB-500 weekly. With Tb-500 I'd do 2.5x2-3x weekly or 1mg daily with the BPC.

Ghk-cu I have seen mentioned several times in 1-2mg daily doses but I personally plan to look deeper into it before I do it.

I know I’m late to this thread but I’m curious if this would be effective for a herniated disc? I have C7-T1 herniation and the pain is excruciating in my left shoulder blade and in the palm of my hand I feel it. Surgery is obviously an option but was hoping someone might have some knowledge with using peptides for something like this. Or am I just screwed

@cage99 ,

I had the surgery not too long ago. I can’t even see it or feel it unless I go digging around for it. It’s nothing. 👍🏽

BPC isn’t gonna do shit for a herniated disc, especially if there’s nerve pain involved, try to find a good sports based PT and acupuncture with stim

500 mcg daily minimum
Ideal is 1 to 2 mg day

I’m doing that just now with TD500 & BPC157

Post elbow surgery Ulna fracture
