i've been working out on and off for about 4 years. i would workout realy good for two or three months and then take off for a month or two. until just this past year i haven't been 100% focused on lifting weights. now that i'm puting everything that i can into my workouts, i think that i will start to make even better gains. but i am very curious as to just how strong i am. i know that my goal is to have bigger muscles and better definition and that strength is just a byproduct of that but in every thing that i've done from playing football to lifting, being able to push heavier weight has always been key. i am 19 years old and today i squated 350lbs. six times and it surprised me becouse i've never done that much before. i am wondering if that is an average weight for someone my age to do or if i need to work on my legs even harder or a little more than my upper body. and if you don't mind me asking, i am also curious as to how much you pro guys lift. thanks.

I was working out relatively consistent at you age. I really don't have anythin to gauge your question to. I had NO IDEA that Olympic weights existed at your age. All we had was access to Universal Gyms and those 1" cement freeweight rigs.

I could put the seat close as possible to foot pads on the leg press with the stack (it said 880, but I don't believe that) with the 2 largest guys in gym class standing on the stack for 5 reps.

I say just keep on keeping on. Learn nutrition better, and change-up your workouts. You're in a marathon, not a sprint.
