Hey bro, when you do decide to make your comeback, what style of training will you follow? You've said on here that DC training is the quickest way to gain mass that you know off. When Jason used to right about the workouts you would do, it included alot more exercises, drop sets, pre-exhaust, etc. Do you have any special techniques you want to give out? Thanks again for the time bro.

Diezel 666......

Yeah ......When I trained under Dante , his training hadn't quite involved to where it is now , but the routines that you read in anabolic extreme weren't mine or Dante's , those were Jason 's a couple of years after our arrest. I was done with bodybuilding at that point [ as well as fighting] and just wanted to put my mistakes behind me and become finacially secure. He mentioned me a couple times in his articals , but honestly I had asked him to exclude me for the most part. I had a ton of fun training with him and I have honestly never seen two guys that fed off each other like we did. We did some pretty good lifts at the time [ I did a 525 bench / he did 495 , I squatted 725 to parrell 5 times and that fucker did it for 2 butt to the ground [ far more impressive in my eyes] I deadlifted 765 for 2 with straps and he got it for 1 . We did 495 bent rows [ we even on back ,Delts, and arms ] 245 curls. We were pretty strong all the way around and concidering that I was 24-25 [and had only used gear for about a year]and he was 22-23 at the time we thought we were pretty hardcore and never saw any pro or top amatuer at the time the could out train us . [ sure there were guys that were stronger , but they couldn't keep up with our intensity] I can tell you with great honesty that only guy that could have buried us intensity wise, was Dante himself .[ remember, I knew several pros as well as top amatuers. Hint * I was dealing] One time Shawn went down to see Dante thinking he was big and bad [ although not at his biggest and strongest] but Dante handed him his ass so bad he seriously almost quit training period. When he came home he was just rattled. I was too scared to train with Dante after that[ I did not like being humiliated] and I never went down to get put in place by the king. Dante is a legend for a reason. The guy is the real deal and trains harder than anybody. I miss those times, we would come in to the gym eating quesidillas getting grease and chalk all over the place .We would talk so much shit to each other you would be ashamed not to bust your ass to point of passing out . We would cruise to the gym in this little covertable that I had, and our shoulders would touch and the tail pipe would drag on the ground.[ we were idiots but we had alot of fun] Man , I miss those days ...

To answer question [ sorry to get nostalgic ] When I trained before , Dante had us training every other day . Basically , everthing once every 8 days . Although he had do us arms twice during that period [ but one was a light couple set pump workout ] and calfs were split into gastro day and a soleus day . [ they were trained one brutal set each workout. ] We did 3-4 exercises for big body parts [ using some rest / pauses . one and a quarter reps . , negatives] And 2- 3 exercises for smaller body parts . All sets were done to failure. I even went a little crazy and took things father that what Dante wanted .Sometimes forced reps, forced negatives , burns , drops sets, stages reps, partials , static holds anything that would create more time under tension with heaver wieghts I tried.[ I wanted to be like Tom Platz] One all out set per exercise after warm ups! I look back now and it was probally over kill ,and I would fryed my CNS or gotten hurt eventually. I just was at that stage where I thought I was invincible. [ I had just finished a brief uneventful pro football career , was training with some of the top mixed martial arts fighters in the world , and running the hottest night club in town - I thought I was pretty tough] But after my arrest ,I crashed back down to earth , and I am probally a better person because of that nightmare. In fact I know that I am .
I will make my decision before the end of summer reguarding my comeback.I have been drug free for 8 years . I am sitting at 260 [ yeah, since my sister died I have been off my diet - sorry Skip] I have good genetics I could be a hard 300 inside of 6 months , but I would probally need to hold that for a year to let it mature for close to a year . Realistically ,it would be about about 2 years before I could climb on stage with the best supers in the country. I am almost 34 and live a pretty good life, and I am not sure it would be smart to get back involved with the drugs and the hardcore lifestyle it takes to play with the big boys. I would be 36 -37 before I would be a threat to the big boys and with all the risks involved [ health , ect..] I am very torn on what to do .Part me wants to go up to 320 - 340 and be a freak and part of me thinks it would be smart to drop to a very lean 220 and just maintain that forever. If I go the freak route I will surely use Dantes new methods and will do so without hesitation. I trust the man as much as anyone I know. The guys knows how to make monsters like no one else. I know I have the genetics to go far in the sport . What do you guys think ? Is it worth it ? I make more money than all but maybe the top two or three guys in the sport.[ not including Big A] Should I risk it? I love the sport , but should I just enjoy it just as a fan ? I have nothing to gain but personal satisfaction....What you guys think?

Iabadman, thanks for the insight. I used to try to follow alot of those workouts that Jason wrote about and ended up beat down. When I started focusing on getting stronger everytime I went to the gym, progress took off and hasn't stopped. I think that you'll make the right deciscion for yourself regarding competition. Just remember, you don't need a trophy to tell you how good you are. Not that it means anything, but I'm very impressed with your attitude and work ethic. Good luck.

Thanks Bro , your words do mean something to me .As you have shown yourself to be nothing but a class person on these boards . If I can ever help out with anything please fill free to PM me. Best of luck on your quest to be the best you can be . It sounds as if you are well on your way .I hope you get what you are wanting out of your bodybuilding expirence. Stay healthy , be careful, and have fun........Continue to focuss on geting stronger, push hard , but not so hard to where you tax your CNS .[ Big A , PHil . and Lats speak of this often - this point is often over looked by HIT advocates] Get lots of rest and eat high protien / med fat / low-med carb diet. 20 - 30 cals a pound [ Phil , and Lats don't agree , but most other freaks will] And use drugs in a moderate intelligent manner and like you said in your post about Dorian . If you do everything right for a long period of time then amazing gains can and will be made . You said yourself . But how many of us really do that ? [ not many would be my guess]

Iadabman - you have a competetive spirit in you, like many of us here have. The ultimate goal for many (not me) is to be able to make a living off what you love to do. VERY FEW can do that in b'building as we all know.

Sounds like you have financial elements in order - like Big A does. He has plans to "compete" again. Not because he "has to" but because wants to prove something "to himself." That's what I refer to as the competitive spirit. I believe you have that inside you as well. All said and done, the decision is yours! :D

There is no doubt these 2 (Iama and Jas) were throwing around some serious slag iron back then. I know exactly which convertible he is talking about because I had to drive it because Jas cramped/collapsed on my gym floor and couldnt drive so I had to take the wheel. I remember thinking "christ this guy is a freaking bull" because weights that I thought were going to test him didnt at all. He just wasnt ready for the ferocity of what I was doing with things rest pause wise. On a curiousity level I would love to see where Iamabadman would go with competing as genetically he is far superior to myself and Jas. Using Pros as a structural marker Jas was built like Nasser, im more lanky like an Ian Harrison and Iama was a complete mesomorph (Haneyesque) and would fare much better than us two. On a personal level though and freind level I want Iama to stay far clear of the competitive side of this sport and its political/legal climate. Through determination and hard work he is highly succesful as an individual and I feel is worthy of much greater things than trying to make a mark as a high echelon bodybuilder and all those risks involved. But for gods sake dont ever train with him--youll be fetching 45's all day long--lol

Iabadman

I gotta say just because you do 1 show doesn't mean you have to get back into the mix. Its been shown (DC) that one does not need huge amounts to get ready for a show. I respect your decision and opinions (and would never want to tick you off), but haven't you always wondered how you would actually do in a good contest.

Just from my take, Im happy that I did a few shows. Did my first one at 22 and did very well. Then I thought I had to go out into the world and be a professional and that contests were over. Well then I did another in 98, and 2 in 02'. Its addictive and fun and I just love seeing what my body can do. Me against no one. And to top it off, Im more out of the scene now than ever.

BTW, just trying to get a little fire under your ass. But I would hate to see something like this also take you down from the mountain you've already climbed.

Hope all is well. Peace to you BADMAN!

Iabadman

I agree with DC here. You got your life in a much better order (from what I can tell) and you don't want to blow it just to prove something to actually other people than yourself.
If you've been in trouble with the law once, chances are they can still have an eye for you. They see you getting big again and they will surely think you are dealing and/or involved in the illegal aspect of the sport. No need for the heat IMO.
You can still try yourself to better what you feel you can be. I just don't want to see anyone go down that road of trouble again. Once is enough in anyones life. I've friends/relatives get blasted by the law (BB and other illegal activity) and they all said about the stupid mistakes they wish they could change.
As far as I've come in this sport, I still am not sure how far I want to take myself. The risks are more and more every year. Health wise and trouble wise.
I'd love to see you go for what you truely want, but I hope you can objectively weigh out the cost it may have.
When you get dedicated to accomplishing something in this type of sport, most of your life takes a backseat to it. Family, girlfriend(s), wife, pets, business, etc.
If you do decide to give it a go, Maybe I'll still be in it and we can grace the same stage in the same wt class.
What a blast that could be!

Dogg, Excell , Mike Man , and Main ,
I really apreciate your imput and I am very thankful of your opinions . I was all stoked to start my journey back to bodybuilding [ hopefully this month or next ] but my sister died and family responsibilities have taken precident. During this time the rumors of many pros getting busted has made me quite nervous and made me question if being big is worth it. Lets be honest , you are making yourself a walking target by being big. When will being big be enough for police to aquire a search warrant ? Sure , we can get sripts for HRT , but not in the dosages or for all of the items that one needs to be a successful competitor.[ and who wants to pay those shit prices ?] It is a fact that just about anyone that competes in an NPC show has comitted nurmerous felonies just to get up there and that is someting that just makes me sick. [ the law makes no sense and can't believe the american people let this happen ] This is a decision that I am really going to think though , before making a choice. I have followed the sport since I was 10 and have always known that I had the right genetics, but I can not afford any setbacks at this point in my life. I have many people that rely on me and have worked way too hard to fuck it off just trying to get up on stage. But part of me will never be happy if I don't take a couple of years to maximise my genetics and get up on stage . I am pretty sure that I can do some damage, but until I do it , it is only speculation. One way or another I will decide in the next 6 months . I will either down size to a fitness model or become a shapely 320 or so and compete at 260 plus . [ I know that I am blessed to be able to do either]
Mainevent, I hear what you are saying . Until one gets up on stage he is not a bodybuilder . It takes some serious balls to get up there. And I have respect great respect for anyone that does . There are hundreds of guys just like me that have the genetics and are big , but are too big of pussies to follow through on a diet and stand up to be judged. I think that is why I won't feel good about making the choice to leave the sport before I really expirence it . But man , I seroiusly will be killing people [ no joke ] if I ever had to go back in . The mentality in jail is not for me , it made me want to be more voilent than I already am . [ not a good thing ] I realize that one does not have to get into the mix to bodybuild , and I certainly wouldn't if I decide to compete. But lets face it , to compete in high level NPC shows you have to break the law. And why compete naturally and build half of a physique? Bodybuilding is about being the biggest and best that you can be . I was a very lean 6 foot 220 at 16 why would I want to get up on stage looking like I did as child ? As you can see , I am truely very torn.......I really don't know what I am going to do.

Iabadman I have recently decided to stop playing the juice game. It was tough for me because I used to be skinny and I thought without juice I would just shrink away. I read the Legal Muscle book and it scared the crap out of me. Stories of people getting popped for small personal orders, etc. I would take every precaution when ordering but somethings are out of your control. Like when I had to pick up a package from the PO because the sender forgot to waive signiture. I felt something damp on the bottom when carrying it out. Sure as shit a bottle wasn't sealed right and was leaking. It was only some anti-e's I ordered from a popular board sponser, but that alone could have F'd me. I don't know, I felt like I was dodging bullets and sooner or later something bad would happen. I looked into getting a script but you're very right about the prices bieng horrible. So I said to hell with it and am natural now. I don't know if I can be happy like this forever but I am not doing as bad as I thought I would. And the money I used to spend on gear, I can make a truck payment with or save. I struggled because I felt like a pussy giving up and not reaching all my goals, but so be it. My goals were not worth my freedom or my job, family, etc. To some they are and I respect that and I also envy them in a wierd way. I wish sometimes that I would not worry so much and not give a F and just do what I want to do, but I know I would horribly reget it if I would get popped. For god's sake even my wife wants me to keep juicing. It's like there is a devil on one shoulder saying don't be a pussy keep growing, and there is an angel saying it's not worth the risks LOL. Oh well I am rambling now but you get my point. So what ever you decide good luck and I for sure won't think any less of anyone for doing either.

I hear ya

I hear you bro. I seriously do not think though to be a bodybuilder you have to get up on stage. I think anyone
who makes it a lifestyle and loves the sport......that is a true
bodybuilder. And you my friend ARE one.

The only reason I like to compete occasionally is the competitive spirit I have in me. I could care less about being a national level bb (OK so it would be cool), but I know what you mean about the risks. Its amazing how much my train of thought has changed since I found out I'll be having a kid. So I will be doing one more show and then hang it up competition wise for a while, and just train to stay in shape. AND BELIEVE ME, I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD SAY THAT.

Whatever you decide, I think you know you have quite a few guys who will back you no matter what. After re-reading these posts, I think it would maybe be a mistake too, and just stay the course your on!

gnpower and Mainevent,
You guys seem like very good guys .Thanks again for sharing your advice and personal decisions. Goodluck to each of you .I hope your futures are filled with happines. Isn't sad that we can't do want we want with are own bodies? I really don't understand it . How is plastic surgery any different ? [ and it far more dangerous] Or cigarettes an alcohol?
Oh yeah Main , I forgot that you had a child coming . Once again , congradulations! I am sure you will be an excellant father.Best of luck with everything and stay away from trouble.....

Iabadman, Thank you for your earlier post, I really enjoy reading the stories of you guys in the old days.

I'm glad you posted at Muscle Mayhem about DC and his pics, or I would not have found this board.

Just going over your post about how you guys killed the gym makes me want to go lift right now, thanx a lot.

I have been training with DC for 6 weeks now with the best gains in my life, he has it down, and a great guy.

Good luck on your endeavors, thanx again...

hey iabadman .. i feel your pain brother ... may God have mercy on your sister sounds to me like you were a good brother but your post was well damn thought, well read ,and well said ... and well felt ...i got 22 years into this and like you said im a damn crimmal just COMPETEING .so i was out for 8 years competeing always trained always!! did one show last year and went throgh what you are articulating in writing. you justify .or you" have a plan" to be safe or you have a script or am i stupied ? ....im single and no kids and no bills so that came in to play... sounds like you have a choice (bodybuilding or fitness model) i dont have the later and im chasing the first. i sure hope you always train and really sounds like you sould step up ,the superheavy's is really a weak class right now in fact chris cook does not get hard and many weak points ,marcus haley is going up to super's and he comes in shape he will win card this year , otherwise it's a weak class for sure ....door's open doggcrapp and Iabadman.... i told doggcrapp and i will tell you i would always like to meet iron men!! you guy's are ..stay in touch,

TT

Purpose, I might point out, is often interchangeable with goals and motivations and is cousin to reason and incentive.

T- muscle and In- Human,

It is great to have you guys over here . The guys over here are the best and there is loads of information over her. I love this place.

T- muscle , I like you alot [ Is everyone from UG cool or what? I have yet to post there - that is where the legends are IMO]and I will definately see you at the masters nationals in July . I will be there supporting my friend[ and also you] that I help train . I would love to buy you some dinner or something after the show. Being that you are half Sicliian and I am full ,we should get along pretty good my friend. lol ! Anyway, I really appreciate your post and it is nice to see that I am not alone with my thoughts. Keep in touch as well , maybe we can meet at another show in the Nor Cal area soon. I am in Sacramento ., so we are not too far . In fact I run the largest strip club within 100 miles of the area. You can go to Goldclubcenterfolds .com to check us out. Also one of our managers is from your area. When he came here 8 years back he was like 160 . Now he is 250 with the best back this side of Ronnie Coleman[ no joke, the is is a walking cobra] Take Care
and keep us posted over here with your contest prep.......

In - Human , very glad to see you over this way . Thanks for your kind words as well. Dante sayes that you are one of the hardest workers he has ever had and that sayes alot my friend. Just let him guide you, trust him completly, and don't get hurt. Listen to your body and remember an injury at 40 would really slow things down and you are on a roll . I also saw that he turned you over to Skip . I will tell you this .I have met many in this sport and most were selfish pricks , but guys like Dante and Skip are what makes this sport special. They are both so good at what they do ,but what is even better is their class and thier willingness to help and share. They honestly are two of the best guys that I have ever met. Goodluck with your journey and I hope you get want you want out of the sport........Take Care and welcome to the board......I look foreward to hearing of your progress as well........

chow TT

Iabadman, Hey buddy thanx for the words, and I'm very sorry to hear about your sister, my prayers are with you.

I have been with DC for a short time, 6 weeks, he said he will turn me over to Skip when its a time to contest prep, can't wait.

Yes sir, I understand how injuries can halt steady progress like this, so I'm careful, but take risks at the same time. I have been in this game for some 24 years lifting heavy always, I do have a decent base, but with DC, he will help me push to the edge so I can get my ass on stage, win or lose, I just want the chance to get up there and give it my all.

Thanx for the welcome to the board, I'm always open to new things and I learn something new everyday in my life...

T-muscle, yes Roger is my boy . In less than 3 years I have taken him from a soft 188 to a stage ready 222. All at the tender age of 54 . I had hoped to bring him in at over 230 .But a serious shoulder injury has eliminated all heavy upper body training. He should be close to 225 with hopefully harder legs and wider back.It will be interesting to see how he does. I love the guy and he he an absloute warrior in the gym.If he ever wins his pro card and qualifies for the Master' O I swear I am going to die.He really loves competing. This is a guy that had football and basketball scholorships and didn't have to go to Veitnam, but instead inlisted and became a Ranger for our country He fought in alot of bloody battles and ended up taking an AK -47 right in the gut.[ he is lucky to be alive.] Now at 54 he is living like a kid . He works for me one night a week and the chicks are all over him . He loves it. And his wife just can't get enough. I will definately touch bases with you before Pittsburg and if you ever want to come up and visit the club let me know and I will buy you dinner there as well. I look foreward to meeting you Tom.

In - human, Like I said I wish you the best bro . And if yoiu are here to learn then you have come to the right place.

Iabadman

At least if I don't see you anywhere else (Arnold, etc), I'll beable to meet up with you at the Masters Nats.
That is right in my back yard so to speak. lol.
Take care my friend.

Mike man , It would be privilige to meet you and your girl . You are invited to dinner my treat as well [ to make up for the arnold] I really hope you can make it ,because I will be there for sure. You are a way cool person and a heck of a bodybuilder, it would be nice to shoot the shit with you. Take Care of yourself Bro and MikeMan are you doing the jr. nationals in june in chicago ?[ I think] If so I will be there as well. [ I am helping a girl from this board with her prep for the figure]
