Training days per wk

I try to train 4 days a week and sometimes it is only 3. I have been down the overtraining road before and at 50 years old it seems the more I workout the weaker I get with the soreness and fatigue. I can moderate my workouts to 4 days a week at 1 hr each time with no cardio and I do very well with strength and muscle growth.
 
Depends on how much gear I'm on and volume of food.
 
It goes by how quickly you recover. I have a 5 day split where I am able to hit every body part twice a week with enough rest in between every body part.
 
This is highly individual whether on or off.

I usually try to train everything twice a week on or off gear. But, I'm coming off right now, and after making good gains on a 16 week cycle of Test, Tren and EQ, I definitely feel the recovery time needs to be increased. Intensity is still high initially but I am probably moving towards every 4 days now. Its an art to figure out. Individuality, maturity of the muscle group, injuries, exercise choice, lifestyle and related stress... there are an unknowable number of variables.

Intensity, volume, diet, age, desire, health...........all with have a say in how often to hit a bodypart.

this exactly, If you like to train intense than less is probably more.
 
A lot has to do with how long you have been training also. Everyother day split training a body part every fifth day seems to be optimal for hypertrophy. Intensity is the key. Just make sure you use different rep ranges, train to failure and include a stretch movement.
 
I liked the DC two way EOD. Hit everything hard 2x in 8 days.

Now I like fortitude training 4x week. But I take it easier on the leg pump days and harder on upper pump days so legs get hit (light pump, heavy load, Muscle round) and arms gets hit with (hard pump, load, muscle rounds) in a week
