illegal version of evidence eliminated?

sup bros, i downloaded a suposedly "hacked" version of evidence elminated on emule. ran it for serveral days, ran awsome. then bam all of a sudden got this pop up saying "this is an illegal version of EE and we know what u did, we have been messing with you and u must either purchase the program or delete it asap".
i deleted the program off my hd. should i be worried about it keyloggin everything about my creditcards etc?? i havent done anything illegal while using it. im just worried it logged all my passwords etc, to credit cards and banking online. should i be worried about this? thanks for any feedback

What it sounds like to me is the person who hacked the program is running a scam. I have never heard of a company scanning for all instances of their program and confronting people. The cost in bandwidth would be far to great to justify the cost of catching a few people.

Isnt there a cd you can buy that cleans it up or erases over it or something?
Or Ive always been told the only sure way is to get a new Hard-drive

you can destroy the old drive and get a new one. Or you can just zap your current drive and reformat.
