injection problem

i took a shot today it was 1cc of enanthate and 1cc of fina mixed---i put 1cc in my right delt and the other in my left--well my left delt had a huge lump in it so i added a heating pad to the area to help move the oil---and now the area is numb---so i took a penicilin tab---what do you guys think caused this--i know that the dart wasnt in all the way but over 1/2 of it was in--think this could abcess?

Does the lump hurt??
Is there a rash forming around it??
Is it hot to the touch???
Is it red as hell??
Usually it starts off as a golfball size lump then in a couple days time it hurts and it grows bigger. Just look for the signs...if it gets worse then it probably is an abcess

Yep. I have done that exact same thing in my delt once before. I now make damn sure that i cannot even see the white latex where the pin connects before i inject anything. If you were using a 1 in stick and only had it half way in i will bet my ass that you have an abcess.

I could be wrong but heat opens pores and brings blood to the surface. Wouldn't it bring that freshly half way injected juice to the surface also???? Maybe not enough to directly cause an abcess but surely it did not help matters????

So what you're saying is that if you don't inject AAS "deep IM" you can get an abcess?!?

Yes. In my experience.
If you get a only 1/2 inch of the pin or less in tha muscle the probability of getting an abcess is very high.

Anything short of a full in inch in the muscle will give me an abcess everytime. Unless i am using a water base. But none the less i still go down to the latex.

I wasn't doubting you. It's pretty "basic"/common knowledge that AAS is to be injected "deep IM." What you stated makes some sense to me. I always cringe when someone says they're injecting steroids witha 0.5-inch long pin (except in calves, chest and lats).

Hey bro...I had a shot about a week and a half ago in the delts (not aas) that was given sub-q and it swelled up worse than I have ever seen or had experienced (think racquetball). It was hot to touch, red/purple, and was sore as well. I was told I had a "reaction" and that it wasn't infected and was given some cortisone cream and benedryl. After putting on the cream, it went away within two days...but again, it wasn't aas. Could it just have been a reaction or you had the pin at a jacked angle (and maybe it not being all the way in contributed?)? Just throwing some things out there bro...hopefully it's nothing!
