insulin cartridges

now, this may seem like a stupid question, but you know the cartridges of insulin that are meant for insulin pens? you should be able to use just a regular insulin syringe with them, right? there is a small rubber stopper on top, and it should work.. just wanna make sure.

I hope that isnt long acting insulin. I thought I remember most of those cartridges as being the longer acting variety. Be sure it is either humalog or humulin R.

yeah man, its log. i wouldnt dream of using like n or something.

I am diabetic and have used a regular syringe and got insulin out of it. It might be a bit more painful to pin cause it dulls the needle, but other than that it is all good.

I too am diabetic. My humalog comes in a 3cc pen. It's just like pushing the needle into a regular bottle... works fine

we do that all the time here since most of the humalog we get are in the carts and we don't want to waste money on pens and more expensive pen cap pins.... no problems.
