apparently, test levels drop after the birth of your child to better enable you to bond with it.

i wonder if being on exogeneous test during this period of your life could possibly effect your relationship with your child. that might be kind of a stretch, but interesting nonetheless.

I think it also has alot to do with keeping "dad" less aggressive and lowering sex drive.

In alot animals the fater will kill and eat the young for several reasons.
One being that the male might see the new offspring as possible compitition either for food or breeding rights
also most animals only breed when the female comes into "season" which is often only a few time a year , if the mother loses her baby at a very young age nature will make her have another estrus cycle allowing the males another chance to breed so if dad kills off the new child he will have another chance to get some.

so if the males test levels drop then he is less likely to be a threat to the new child

Of course this is based on animals and homosapians when were WAY less evolved and still much more animal like
