This kind of nonsense can be stopped pretty quickly. NIH should simply state that no research entity will research a penny of research grants if they can't definitively tell the difference between a man and a women by their chromosomes.

No medical professional will take the research serious because the gender data would be so skewed to the point of being horrifically inaccurate. They're just pissing money down the drain on their "research"

Gender is determined by the external genetalia and sexual function you have naturally. Chromosomes are only strongly correlated with that. For example, there have been XY people that have gotten pregnant and given birth naturally. And XX people with a penis who produce sperm. It's rare for gender to deviate from chromosomes, but it does happen.
