i think it's great that a lot of you guys cite studies and publications for stuff but it is important to really understand what the study is looking at and what the results mean...

not long ago a member posted a link to this study in defense of exogenous testosterone use by another member with CKD

Low Serum Testosterone Increases Mortality Risk among Male Dialysis Patients
Low Serum Testosterone Increases Mortality Risk among Male Dialysis Patients

it's easy to see how this could be misleading but this study only looked at T levels as a marker of mortality. It did not investigate the effect of T-replacement therapy on mortality. Among other factors leading to the increased mortality, the low T levels in ESRD patients likely reflects the overall poor health of the patient in general.

another obvious way this is misused is advertising, which i'm sure you all know. I love VPX's new ad stating that NO-synthesize outperformed deca for lean mass gains. sure they compared their study on NO-synthesize to a good quality study of deca... but the deca was used in AIDS wasting and the participants weren't lifting weights, they were trying not to die.

sorry, turned into a rant...just be sure to interpret studies yourself, not the spin others can put on them
