Has anyone gotten any back pain relief from one of these tables where you strap yourself in and hang upside down?

a few friends have them, and they can live with out it.

I know people that have gotten a ton of relief from them. I don't have one of those anywhere near me so I hang upsidedown off of a hyperextension bench. It lso gives me a great hamstring stretch this way but is not very comfortable.

I started at 5 minutes per day and have built up to 10 minutes. I would like to get to 30 mins

This is grat for compression on the disks in the lower back and it gives me a lot of relief.

I have one and it helps a lot. I have had laminectomies at L4-5 and L5-S1, and the latter has collapsed and auto-fused. Hanging upside down relieves much of the sciatic pain and low back spasms that show up from time to time. Also good for stretching the rest of the spine.

I would caution you to find out what exactly is causing your problem first, and then see somebody about whether traction for it is contra-indicated.

I do that at the begining and end of every work out it works great! I also have the inversin table but like the strech better on the hyper bench.

Have one in my office

I put one in my office and use it almost daily. It takes a while to build up a tolerance for a good angle but it gives good relief. In my new office I am going to have both it and one of the beds from the chiropractors that have the rollers that go up and down your back.

Oooh! I love those! I would make my Chiro let me lay on it for an hour!

one of the better investments i have made, i have a herniated L5... i lay in mine 4-6 times a week for 20 min. i try to get in there after i get my deep tissue work done and it makes a huge difference!

i bought mine on the net for 300.00 and it is reinforced to handle 400lbs...

I recommend them, particularly if someone has DJD in the thoracic and lumbar spine and/or some sort of disc pathology. It doesn't take care of the problem for good, but it should give you good relief and slow the pathology down some what.

Post a link to the one you decide on
