Irritated site question??

Does anyone know what causes irritation at an injection site once in a while. Every so often after I do a shot ( happend to be in my tri this week) I get a red irritation along the whole back side of my arm and it is really hot to tthe touch. Now it doesnot hurt or anything just gets real red and hot for 3-5 days. Any clue why?

Usually when something like that happens its the sign of an infection. Are you swabbing before you poke? Its obviously not serious as it goes away but maybe it could be the gear or possibly just a dirty shot. I dunno but usually when I am doing my tris and that happens to me its usually a sign that I have an infection or the alchohol content in the gear is realy high! Hope this helps

I have been using the same gear for a while now and it only does it on occasion, now take in to consideration that it is mexican gear which I know is not the cleanest but it is so random.

can be a normal response pending on the person sensitivity to the product or drug, or the product may not be sanitary. May want to bake it for awhile and see if that changes anything.
