Ticket 400$? Nose bleed seat

Why the hell? I remember going before covid and it was 125$ on Saturday

I took days off for this, what a waste.. I’ll just watch it on the TV screen

Shit Kevin hart wasn’t that expensive

Inflation… Cost of everything for them to operate is probably 2-3x higher..

It's more about money today than ever. Look at how they hand out pro cards and the fees they collect on those alone.
Good for them making it profitable, but it's soured it all a bit for me.

Damn, that pretty expensive. I always wanted to go. I have been buying the live stream to support since they started charging and have a hard time coughing up $40-60 for it when you could just watch it the next morning for free.

They should be making it profitable by growing the fanbase outside the core audience; securing better sponsorships; starting a subscription-based IFBB streaming service; etc.

Continually raising ticket prices and charging ridiculous amounts for poor quality live streams are bottom of the barrel ways to increase profitability and show a severe lack of business sense or outright greed on their part - most likely a combination of both.

Bodybuilding is mainstream now

It's like the Superbowl for IG "Fit" 20 somethings
Correct. The over 40 year old crowd got all pissed about bbing not being mainstream. Now it's very mainstream and they hate the fact that its mainstream.

3 things brought bbing to the mainstream: 1. Instagram 2. Women's Bikini 3. Men's Physique.

Did you really think this sport would go mainstream if it was all super ugly faced bald 5'8 250lbs on stage guys? LOL.

I mean half the guys on the Olympia stage are bald. is that bad for business ? Should everyone start wearing wigs?

I agree

They want fans to support the Olympia but why am I gonna pay 400 for a seat when I’m going to watch it on that screen they have in the venue since i can’t even see the stage from the seat I’m sitting in.

it’s ridiculous and greedy.

It's the location. Vegas is so expensive these days. Nothing is cheap like it used to be. The casinos/hotels now charge resort fees. It's also getting really bad with crime. Anyone that goes, stay safe and watch your surroundings

If you think that’s bad take your wife to see Adele. The price of attending any event has skyrocketed in the past 10 years.

The only thing I'll say is I don't know if it actually is greedy. My gut tells me the books don't look real hot and I imagine they are 1) playing there hand with supply and demand and hoping they are right and people will pay and 2) vegas is expensive and inflation is hitting the "events" very hard. We had a trade show there and it was almost 5x more than it cost pre covid. Literally a $500K event in 2019 that now is costing $2.75M. I didn't think that could be right but it was...for less people to attend!

It would not shock me at all if even if the venue is packed the actual profit isn't great or a lot better than when the seats were $125.

I also agree it's crazy :)
