As silly as this may sound, I started putting my jeans on this morning and this are my "fat" jeans that were still a little tight. However, this morning they were noticeably more loose. I had just weighted yesterday morning, and I was so depressed because I hadn't even lost a pound (1/2 of one)... in several weeks. I was wishing that I hadn't even step on the scales.

Now I'm thinking could it be that I've lost some more weight... even though my little voice in my head was being cautions, I step on the scales and low and behold I had lost a pound. I know it was only 1, but OMG! It felt so good to see another pound gone!

I know it's sad... I'm just pathetic, but it made my day!!! :ju;ping-s

Every pound feels good and is a reasone to celebrate!! Great job!

It's not silly at all to be excited about that! Every little bit is definitely a victory and a demonstration of all your hard work.

I'm wearing my "skinny" jeans today, and I'm so excited they finally fit again! (I can't even get them past my thighs in the off-season!)

2nd wardrobe

little did i realize i'd be needing a 2nd "skinny" wardrobe for this! I seriously changed my work outfit 5x this AM because the skirts just slide down and almost fall off and cinching the belt on pants so tight that it makes you look like you have a front butt is totally not flattering!
So, I guess it's time to go shopping! with 0 funds since it all goes towards training expenses! lol!
time to reorganize the closet into fat and skinny sections too! lol!

SAssy, first some words of wisdom: STAY OFF THE F'ING SCALES!
You surprise me! You know better than this, the scales are demotivating and tell you nothing about what is going on. I try to tell my clients to put the scale in the closet and lock it! Use your appearance, your clothes and how you feel in general. The jeans thing is a good sign, a very good sign! let theses LITTLE things motivate you instead of the scale letting you down. Use the mirror to tell you you are looking better rather than the scales to tell you you are fat! Use everlast as your motivation to move ahead, he will see the changes before you do. This business of dieting is so hard and can be demoralising to many. Only those of strong will and determination ever make it to the finish line, we overcome all obstacles, all our moods to achieve the prize! You are doing fine, you don't need scales to tell you this, because they never will.

We will motivate you girl, that is what we are here for!!

I understand!!!

Everytime I've started dieting, it takes 4-6 weeks to drop even a few pounds on the scale. I get noticebly smaller, but the scale is not my friend. You know better, definetly go by how your clothes fit! I try not to get too bent out of shape over it, especially when I know how drasticaly I've changed my food intake, trained and done my cardio.

 YES, I know... Really! I hardly ever get on the scales. In fact I was going to get rid of mine totally, but Everlast wanted to keep it. Believe me I keep telling him the same thing.

It's the doctor who made me get on the scales to begin with. This last time I just couldn't resist, but it's been 4 wks since I been on one.

Our mirrors are all upstairs and they aren't even hung on the wall yet. The lights up stairs aren't real bright, so I don't have good lighting for practicing my posing. I'm sure if I had a good place I could see a lot better results. I am seeing more definition in my arms and upper body. My calves are showing some cuts, and my quads are starting to get the sweep. I know I'm makes some progress, but my lower abs, butt and inner thighs aren't losing at all. Then they are always the last to go. Boobie are the first.... bubble butt is the last.

6 weeks out

OMG! Time flies... but its hardly been fun. At 8 wks out my weight just wasn't budging. Things just weren't getting very far, so I made changes to my diet and started carb cycling. That's when I started noticing more changes. After Everlast took picture that I sent to HOTT to critic, I suddenly realized that my main problem was that I was holding a TON of water.

Now I am trying some different things to see if it won't help me drop more water. Something must be working, because every 30 mins I'm running to the bathroom. My rings all fit again. My really fat jeans are way too big, and I can now fit into my fat jeans with some room to spare... and then this morning I get one the scales (shh, don't tell Oldfella). I've lost 5 lbs in less than a week. I usually weigh once a week on Thursday morning... I'll be fitting in my skinny jeans are next!

I haven't been taken in consideration that I have put on quite a bit of muscle since the last time I competed. Now I'm thinking I could have put on 5 maybe even 10 pounds. My big dilemma is my posing suits may not fit. In the past I weighed in at 112 pounds, so I don't know if they will fit or not. I don't have the money right now to buy new ones. I was planning using the ones from my last competition. Man, right now they just look so tiny.

Man, right now they just look so tiny.

The way I look at it, everyone wants to see as much of the physique as possible. The suit is there to prevent us from being arrested for indecent exposure...tiny is good. :D j/k (kind of)

I'm REALLY glad things are going well for you!!!

Your Gonna Be Fine!

and so is Ever. We over analyze ourselves and seems like we see the same things everyday. It helps to get that outside look and it is mostly water and the other stuff we discussed. It's already working and just stick to plan and the little tweaks and you and Ever WILL come in looking amazing!

Don't worry @ your water now, you have plenty of time.

PERFECT ADVICE FOR ALL! MAIN TELLS ME THAT ALONG WITH OLDFELLA. I still find it tuff cause I missed weight at Eastern USA's by 2 lbs., but its about how you look!

You know that's true Cpact!:p

I'm back in my skinny jeans... but I weigh 23 pounds more than I did the last time I was in them. You can absolutely get back into those jeans without weighing what you did. I couldn't be more excited about weighing what I do and fitting in my clothes again. It's all my hard work paying off in new muscle mass.

wow! that is an accomplishment. keep up the good work.

Thanks! Wearing my "fat jeans" was no fun, but getting back down to my "skinny" size with all this extra muscle and definition was well worth it.

I want to do my first competition towards the end of the year, so definitely wish me luck :)

4 More weeks to go!

Blue... that's awesome! Sounds like you've been training hard and it's paid off.

This morning I was getting dressed and put my other "fat" jeans on, and they were WAAYYY too big. I start digging through a pile of cloths that didn't fit any more. The first two pair I put on wouldn't go over my thighs, but the third pair fit perfect! I haven't lost any more weight... still holding around 135, and I can't say I went down another size, but I did fit into a smaller brand. LOL

Isn't it crazy how every brand of jean fits differently. I have no idea how many pairs of jeans I have that fit all differently. It's insane! I realized this morning that I have a pair for each stage of my pre-contest prep.

This is where I am... I've lost my belly. No more pooch!!! My abs are looking very good. I'm seeing lots of cuts in upper body, arms, and calves. I've add more muscle in my quads, so I can see improvements in them. My hips and butt have lost fat too. YEA!!!

I'm thinking now that I'm going to come in around 125 and end up in the middle weight class instead of top of the light weight. I don't mind that if I can get my conditioning to improve. That is my goal now.

Nice, Sassy!! Getting so close now.

My skinny jeans/pants are now hanging off of me at the waist and very baggy in the butt, however still fit around quads, and shoulders are filling shirts more.

5 more weeks...just need to stay in the moment and focus on what is in my power to control. This has been an incredibly smooth process compared to last year...less fat to lose, more discipline and confidence, less doubt and worry...more peace and joy.

I put myself in a position to cruise into this show. I will do my best today, holding myself to high standards, and not beating myself up for not being perfect. Because I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and gosh darn it, people like me.

:D

Remember, a wise bear once said, "Wocka, wocka, wocka!"

Great job Sassy and Phoenix! Fitting into smaller jeans is always a victory! Especially if you've got even more muscle now!! Stay focused and always keep your goals in the front of your mind. You can do it! ::ction-sm

I've got jeans (and a whole separate wardrobe) for all phases of my training too. ha Gets to be expensive always buying clothes in different sizes!

I did the whole wiggle-jump-wiggle-deep knee bends routine this morning trying to get into my jeans. I had to remind myself that they're tight because I just washed and shrunk them slightly -- and not because I've gained weight. Always such an important reminder! :p

Do any of you ladies have difficulties fitting into the current babydoll trendy shirts and dresses? They fit so tightly around my lats and then billow out in front so they look like maternity clothes on me. NOT the look I'm going for! LOL

Any suggestions for clothing brands that are made for fitness girl bodies??

I'm going to send Phoenix a rope to keep her pants from falling off. ;)

Mo, I've been doing the jump-jiggle-wiggle squeezing... then unbutton and breath at the end of the day when you get in the car thing for over a year now. It feels so good just to have all the extra pounds off.

Not that I've been doing any major shopping lately, but from what I've seen this year fashion sucks. It does get harder and harder to get clothes to fit the more muscle you put on. I'm thinking that I'll have to find a good seamstress to make my clothes fit better.
