This is John Simone.... He has been around a while.. Scored a big win in the super heavyweight class at the NPC Pitsburg. We have doing a long, slow, methodical prep for the this years masters nationals.

hes in his forties and has the energy of my 4 year old daughter. He is a great student of the game... listens to every detail, and works harder than almost anyone I know...

Even at over 25 weeks out hes measuring and carrying containers of food when traveling for business... along with cooking instruments, doing his cardio and training without missing a day. His focus and intensity is something im so proud of...

Being that he has to come in super lean, complete and dialed in......we are covering every detail and taking this show as serious as it gets.... the show has some great talent as you all know..

His work ethic is intense.. I love working with him, especially giving him the mental push that he does not need!

I am not being a dick here

Keeping em' coming, Alex! Fundamental physquie for his age. What kind of work does he do?

SmallTownIron let me first say I don't want to come off like a dick but you seem like a good guy so I want to offer some constructive critisism. You can take it or you can tell me to shove it either way I won't think any less of you.

OKay that being said here it goes

I think you mean well and you think you are giving a compliment when say things like "for his age" but it actually comes off like a backhanded slap. I don't think you mean that if his physique was on a 25 year old it wouldn't be fundamental it would look shitty but by saying for his age essentially that is what it sounds like. The guy looks great and he won his class in a big show that age was not a prerequistate only weight.

He looks great in this pic,Alex. I am looking forward to his end result with you, if he is training and eating like you said now, wow he is going to come in looking awesome, can't wait!

HAHAHA....so John got together with you? He's from around my area and I talked to him at my show. He seemed like really down to earth good guy. I wish you guys the best.

He looks great for any age! Keep us posted on his progress.

I understand where your coming from and I just want to clarify that that is not all what I am pertaining to.

I guess I should a minute and re-evaluate what I am trying to say. Apologizes.

Actually. Just I see men who start reaching the age of 40 or even older and they seem to give up. Therefore, instead of saying " older, elderly or etc", I just imply the situation as " your age", no offense to any of you and I mean nothing by it.

I respect the guys who are older than me and still take care/pride in the physical appearance and also training.

I would like to see like some of you guys, now and I am only 22.

Again no offense and, my apologizes.

I think he took it a little too personal....

anyway

He looks great Alex

Solid look and good to know he will be competing at Masters Nationals. With Alex in his corner, that is a big plus. Best wishes.

Age is a state of mind. It really doesnt matter what age we are, as long we look good and feel good, that's all it matters.

Alex, again you are the Master of Motivator who always pushes his clients to the max. Well done to you both. John looks superb in his condition. Congrats for his win....

Thanks... every ... i really do appreciate it!

and yeah Chris... hes from your neck of the woods... he is a super cool guy...
he was at your show... and was very impressed with you.. And i was proud to say your my friend..

But John, is actually one of the nicest guys i have never met... It seems that way...There are great people out there that you just communicate with through emails and just know they are top of the earth...

But i tell you.. he is a hard working SOB! he will do anything that needs to be done to bring the best to the stage and we are working together really well..

along with getting some professional posing help from one of the top judges in the game.. ( he wont be judging his show though).

For some reason I knew Gerry T.. would post!.. thanks for that Gerry.. I know you follow the masters nationals and are a wealth of all around knowledge in the game.. Your one of the biggest fans and supporters..

Always there to offer good solid advise and support.. I really appreciate it. And john would too..

John has not always had the prettiest shape, but we have been working to keep his waist small, legs nice and full and arms bigger...all around more size and better off season condition..

Size, shape, symetry and condition is what will put you on top

and John is taking no short cuts.. I love working with this guy and good stuff is yet to come!

thanks again to every one!

Hi all
I just want to say the Alex is a true motivator in his own right. I mean, just look at him, crazy conditioning, drive, happy, family, lives in an awesome place with out a ton of snow...lol...
This off season prep is like no other, it goes against the grain of normal off season conditioning. I feel for someone of my age, its more important than ever. Your skin just does not bounce back when you gain 50-60 pounds then lose it again, or close to lose it all when get older. You lose colagen, basic elasticity you once had in your youth. Sometimes all the GH in the world can not correct this.....
The competitiveness is getting tougher, some say bodybuilding is in a slide. They did not look at the amount of competitiors at all the national shows, it was nutz this year. Alex can vouch for this as well. So conditioning can not fall too far back. I am understanding more and more, grow, and grow lean while doing so...Yes its dieting, but all you guys know, if the sport was that easy, everyone would be jumping in on the action.
So, to let you know. I have been actively dieting for over 60 weeks. I did the masters nationals last year, totally missing the conditioning there, then the North Americans. Since then I have just stayed on diet, feeding myself, training, upping the food, eating basically ever 2 1/2 hours.
Alex was nice enough to let me come on board. I do not have the best physique, but as you know, you can win on conditioning. And who has the craziest conditioning, skin so thin like that of a cadavor at shows????
"ALEX AZARIAN"
I send photos to Alex from time to time to help monitor my progress, consult with him on dieting, training habits, and listen to his DRIVE!!!!
So if he feels I am making progress and wants to post some recent photos, thats great. I will leave it up to him.
Alex thanks again for all the support. Will be with you on updates this weekend. To see you post anything on the net about me was truly awesome.
I thank you again for all the support.
Hope to see more in the future. John Simone

Shit I hope i'm still able to workout when I'm 40 !!

Like Pesty said , he is in great shpe at any age. I think as guys get older their conditioning gets better (if they work on it) it just looks like some of the older guys look a bit harder and more defined , maybe for more years of training.

John , what are your stats in that pic bro

HI, I was 227 at 42years of age, for the super heavy class open, as well as the masters class. I am 5'10. I really do not measure body parts so don't know that stuff. I exist on an all protien diet, no carbing up for the show, we utilized fats to fill me out.
