Well it finally happened. I tore my pec. Not completly but I tore it about a month ago. Benching 500 on smith. Was my fault because I lined up to close to the neck and on the 4th rep. pop pop pop!. Cosemetically I'm almost 100%, dont need surgery or anything, but have not worked out upper body in a month. lost only 4 lbs, I guess my body needed a break. Still do some legs, and calves, but I should be able to workout upper body in a week or so. I chalk this up to a wake up call. I'm 37 yrs old, and after working out hardcore for 15 yrs I guess I was lucky that I did not get hurt sooner. I plan to lower the weights a bit and increase the reps. It was my fault totally. Just be careful, I realize now that I am somewhat human . As Arnold would say, "I'll be back"
