how many times a week do you ladies work your abs?

I try to work then about 4-5x's a week. I start with the exercise ball,then lower abs and some planks. I do about 4-5 different types of lower ab exercises(scissor kicks 4 sets of 15,frog style leg raises 4 sets of 25, regular leg raises 4 sets of 20, and roman chair leg raises alt. sides 3-4 sets of 15.

For years I use to work them 4/5 days a week, but now I only train them once a week. IMO, they need time to recover like any other muscle.
 
I usually do something every other workout, so probably 2-3 times a week. I rotate a bunch of different stuff-planks, v-sits, crunches of many types, etc.

Well, I just recently switched to every other day working abs . I have added some ball excercises to confuse my muscles. One of which requires alot of balance and my husband to spot me at first. I place my ankles around to ball and get in pushup position. I then pull my legs in I do 3-5 sets of 12 taking about 40-50 sec breaks in between . This really burns it up ! I love them. I like to feel pain in that area because I know it is working. I then added one where I sit on a bench with the ball in between my ankles and do reverse crunches about 3 sets of 12-15. I have layed off of the roman chair a bit . I still do alot of lower abs though since they are the hardest to get/maintain. Any one have any suggestion for obliques other than weighted side bends/crunches. That I have found is the most difficult to tone .
